"The real issue, the one that should be uniting all fans is to see our football club return close to the heart of the city to which it belongs."

I hope I am not picking up on wrong signals here, but is this a nice little "Coventry area" comment?

Darren Davies,who used to represent singers corner,is more worried by the fact that the stand behind the goal at sixfields may be closed next season rather than trying to get the club back to Coventry.

Personally I am glad that crap from last time was put to bed and that TF graced the meeting with his presence. Also that questions were asked and the answers made available for all to see, whether you like the answers or not.

Let Fisher build his £20m stadium and run up a good few million more in losses on the way. I'm sure a public offer for ACL in line with their previously agreed valuation would be all that is needed to bring every fan on side. Especially if CCC rejected it.

Can I say well done to Steve and Jan from the Trust (there, said it)on being sensible and keeping the dialogue open. I know many on here want you to be ranting and raving at Fisher but that approach clearly didnt work previously.
These sort of meetings always veer from the deadly serious about the future of the club to the trivial. It would be good to see both SCG and the Trust work together on a more robust agenda to cut out all the nitshit and get to the heart of some of these issues rather than the rambling of this and other meetings. Its ok giving an open floor but if people are just going to embarrass themselves with triviality, Fisher et al will never take them seriously or be anxious about attending as she should be.
Perhaps with the Trust support the SCG can be more punchy, professional and make more progress than probably most would have thought - and this does not mean just rolling over and accepting anything the club says.

I'd go along with that except for the agenda of the previous 2-3 meetings and the expansion of this group, continuing cohesion and

agreement could be very difficult to maintain such focus .

One area I would like to see that solidarity,as much ridiculed the recent story on Mr Kelman,would be a similar approach from both parties to

venture such a model given the continued obstinacy against the fans wish to watch It's own team In its home City.

Does that mean if we get the chance to sign an ex player from the championship days who was a firm fans favourite and he could still do a great job for the team, even though he's available on a free and his wage demands fall within the current structure we're going to turn him away as when he was last with us his wages (as was every players at the time) were killing the club.

Got an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach after reading these minutes . I really thought that there would be a movement one way or the other after the JR. Now reading between the lines ,the club (SISU )will pretend to talk about planning for a couple of years while we float around div one. I'm too old to wait for which one blinks first . Think it will be one more year going away then knock it on the head . Seems that SISU are playing the long game and I don't think I can be arsed any more . Was that meeting held on another planet ffs. Loved the bit about the clock not working !

Fans raised the issue in the Supporters Consultative Group and the club has actioned the fans' wishes...

Sky Blues supporters will be able to continue to watch games from behind the goal at Sixfields next season.

The club had contacted Season Ticket holders in the North Stand to say it would not be operating for City matches next season but offered them a move to another area of the ground at no extra cost.


But the Sky Blues Supporters Consultative Group, set up to bring supporters’ views to the club, raised the issue of fans who pay on a match-by-match basis wanting the stand to remain open.


The item was discussed at the SCG meeting last week and the club has now decided to offer tickets in the North Stand for the coming campaign.


Tim Fisher, CEO of Coventry City, said the decision emphasised the important role of the SCG.


“On paper there were practical reasons for not having the stand open and when we spoke to the Season Ticket holders there before we went on sale for next season, the majority did not have a problem taking seats elsewhere in the ground.


“But Darren Davies, a member of the SCG, had canvassed supporters – Season Ticket holders and those who pay on a match-by-match basis – in the North Stand and it was very clear that there were a significant number of people who wanted to stay behind the goal.

“The SCG discussed the matter last week, we said we were only too happy to look into it, and have decided to keep the North Stand open.


“Any Season Ticket holders who have already bought tickets elsewhere will be offered the chance to return to the North Stand if they wish. We have already started informing supporters –some have taken up the offer to move back to the North Stand and some have chosen to stay in their new seats.


“It is really important there is a two-way dialogue between the club and the supporters and that is the whole point of the SCG. We are really pleased that the matter was raised and was resolved to everyone’s satisfaction.”


The SCG is made up of supporters’ representatives and meets with club staff and officials every month.
