Doesnt look that slow although you can't really see much in highlights

Looks like he was playing Number 10 but overlaps a lot.

Will give him a few games to see how quick or good he is.

Hi Lads.

From our end it sounds like we're paying him up and you're getting him on a free. Contract ends this summer.

Very surprised you've come in for Seani given your shrewd business since being promoted. When we first signed Seani he was quick and had an eye for goal either out wide for up top. Unfortunately injuries have plagued him in recent years, he has lost his pace and has been nothing short of atrocious in front of goal.

Despite this he is still a fairly intelligent footballer. He draws fouls and defenders well creating space from other and still has a decent touch. Our man Riis has often played his best stuff alongside him. So I could see him working well with Gyokeres just doing his donkey work.

As much as most of our fans are shocked he has got himself a move at this level just labelling him as 'dog-shit' is quite a narrow minded view.

Would always wish Seani the best of luck in the future but it's the best for his career he moves on.

What sort of injuries has he been picking up?

He's had real problems with his hamstrings over the years, the reason he lost his pace. Not sure how much he has actually been fit this season or just been out of favour.

In answer to those on your side who are surprised he’s coming here, just look at our current squad. It’s to help see us over the line ahead of what will hopefully be a big summer rebuild.

Great, just what we need another injury prone player.

This has got us written all over it. He'll come in on a six month contract and score 15 goals in the remainder of the season. In the summer we'll offer him a new 3 year contract. After that he'll pick up an injury in September for 12 months and never score for us again.

I can't remember being less whelmed over any signing in the history of the club.

Hopefully won't command significant wages and he's put on a short term contract. His injury issues are pretty alarming.

Assuming his hamstrings don't rupture during his 'First Words' interview, it at least gives us another option in the forward area.

Andy Turners equivalent at PNE live reckons there's some truth in this rumour.

It remains weird that Doug King acquired CCFC on Nov 16 and he first met MR weeks later and is apparently cobbling together a few loans now to see us through to the summer.
I assume there was no doubts he was going to get the EFL ok so couldn’t there have been some decent transfer planning in place?
The again the whole Doug King thing remains weird…
The honeymoon period never started never mind finished…

Do club owners do the scouting now too?

He didn’t acquire us then, the deal didn’t go through until EFL approval. Austin joined on Dec 13th.

We'll never know what the transfer plans are/were, only what they can pull off

Just spoken to my neighbour who is very keen Preston fan. He had two very good seasons and then had some injuries. He has pace and does offer more than perhaps his goal ratio shows. He was quite complimentary and perhaps just needs a fresh start.

Preston supporting mate of mine says...

Used to be a real handful when first arrived. Then got injured and went shit. Lots of endeavour but poor goal record recently, injury prone and very lightweight. Lost pace. Fresh start might reignite things for him.

We are crying out for players that can score goals, so finding out our new striker is 'atrocious in front of goal' sounds about right.

Playing the moral high ground by shouting 'give him a chance' is fair enough, but I think looking at his stats and the consistency of what other fans at his previous club have said, I am not expecting anything particularly special. Good luck to him though, hope he does impress.
