Marosi - 6 we had to change our style of play and his injury set him back
Wilson - 6.5 purely because of the big games he was part of and a lower expectation

Defence

Dabo - 6 stop start but he is genuinely one of our players who can shine at the level
Pask - 5.5 not had the chances he could have had. A couple of decent performances does not a season make
Hyam - 7 first season at this level. Lack of pace has caught him out but while lots of other players missed games through injury he was there. Last 8 games much improved like most of the squad
Rose - 6 not played enough through injury. I love his passing to feet and that takes us forward. I genuinely think he is good enough for this level too.
Mcfadzean - 6.5 far too many pens and mistakes but the last 10 games he’s a huge reason why we’ve more than stayed up
McCallum - 7 improved as the season has gone on and has been excellent the last couple of months. Would be surprised if he wasn’t playing championship football next year
Osti - 7.5 cult hero. Did what we needed him to abd we will say when he plays at the top top level he was once with us

McCallum a 6.5, been brilliant last 6-8 games but was pretty average up until then.

Hyam 6.5 - has struggled at times in this league, passing has been poor. I'll give him half a mark for staying fit.

Rose has played the same number of games as Pask, so would be a 5.5

Forgot dacosta - 6 too often injured but showed real promise going forward

Midfield

Kelly - 7.5 when he plays we compete. He’s a limited footballer but so important to our team
Sheaf - 6.5 excellent first season at this level. I still think he’s a steal at £750k
Hamer - 7 great first half he was the whole team often. Tailed off and then came back last 2-3 games
James - 7.5 took a bit of time but been brilliant last month and a half
Shipley - 5 poor season but he can shoot and he’ll be better for this experience
Ohare - 8.5 goals and he leaves and I think he’ll add them next year. Signing of the season
Allen - 5.5. Not given a chance really little lightweight and no pace at this level

Strikers

Biamou - 6 playing while injured kept us in the hunt. Improved every year he deserves a long contact in league 1
Walker - 6.5 think Covid hit him. Best striker until gyokeres came good in the last 3-4 games
Godden - 6 disappointing season through injury. Knows where the net is
Baka - 4 nothing to say
Gyokeres - 6 just for how he’s come on and made an impact in the last month

Robins - 9 what a guy

Marosi - 6 not championship quality but done well enough, nasty injury scuppered his season
Wilson - 5 has done better than I thought he would and imagine 5 will go down badly with most, but he’s been poor and if we didn’t all think he was basically non league beforehand he’d get scored realistically

Dabo - 6 disappointing season relative to what I expected. Was phenomenal last season but injury plagued. It might be a blessing in ther we get another season out of him at this level

Ostigard - 8 my player of the season. Man mountain at the back. Need to replace him or sign him permanently. Unbelievable aerial threat and so likeable

McFadzean- 7. Chalk and cheese. Our David Luiz. I love him and he’s phenomenal most the time but when it goes wrong, it really goes wrong. Hope he gets another contract

Rose - 5 not really his fault but injuries meant his season never got going

Hyam - 5 stepped up every time but this season feels like too much

McCallum- 7 criticised too much. Don’t think he would be if he was our player. People love moaning about a loanee

Dacosta - 6.5 he’s got a calamity in him but I see more good than bad. Happy to have him as a back up given where we are

Pask - 6 deputised well when called upon

Kelly - 6.5 unpopular but feel his influence is overstated. Done a good job but not outstanding, not good enough on the ball at this level. Would still give him another year

James - 7.5 great signing. Influential in us staying up. Kelly but better. Would be delighted to keep him

Hamer - 7 unreal first half of the season. Nowhere near as bad second half as some made out. Feel like they got bored. Great signing. If we make some cash great, if we keep him great.

Sheaf - 6.5 quality player who got slaughtered for mistakes that Kelly gets completely away with. Disappointing end with injuries but hope we sign him

Eccles - 6.5 deputised well whenever called upon

Allen - 6 stepped up better than I thought he would. Wouldn’t be against keeping him as a squad player

Shipley - 5.5 feels a bit harsh given he’s got 2 in his last 2 but I don’t think he’s a championship player. His touch and close ball control isn’t good enough. One thing he always delivers is a goal threat though.

O’Hare - 8 if he could finish he’d be unbelievable. Second to Ostigard in player of the season. Gem of a player who just needs some composure in the final third

Kastaneer - 1 joke of a player. No justification for giving him more than a 1.

Jobello - 5 feel for him he’s not been given much of a chance but the few opportunities he’s had he never looked like making an impression

Biamou - 5.5 know he’s loved or hated on here and will cause controversy however you rate. Nowhere near up to championship in my opinion. Not just poor goal return but all round display. Thanks for your commitment, top bloke, wish you well but it’s probably goodbye from me

Bakayoko - 5 not really given any chance but also not made an impression when given the few minutes he’s had. Good memories, good character, thanks for your service

Walker 7 - baffles me the stick he gets. Quite clearly a natural finished who gets stick for not running round like a headless chicken. Will prove to be quality

Godden - 6.5 never fully got going after injuries but impressed in the brief runs he got. Look forward to seeing him at full tilt next season.

Gyokores - 6.5 what I think our fans think Max is. Would look to resign if possible.

Wilson 6- better than expected but still need better.
Marosi 6- not championship quality.

dacosta 5- unorthodox, needs to improve defensively but worth keeping for next season.
Dabo 6- had some great games (milwall away, Norwich away) but stop start, hopefully gets fit over the summer.
Pask 6- never let us down without being spectacular. Better than expected.
Rose 5- stop start season, had some shockers but I’d expect him to improve next season.
Ostigard 8.5- got it all as a centre half and only going to get better, would do everything to keep him but can’t see it.
Mcfadzean 7- Few costly mistakes over the season but were a much better side with him in the team. Got better as the year went on.
Hyam 6.5- started the season well had a dip in form but still a good season and worth keeping.
McCallum 7.5- rarely beat by some top quality wingers this season. Got better as season went on. Easy to forget how young he is. Would like to get him back next year.
Giles 5- thought was a good outlet for the first half a season but weak defensively.

kelly 7- were a better team with him in the side.
james 7- clever classy player, would be a good signing next season.
Hamer 7.5- easy to forget the points he single handedly won us first half the season. Needs a rest.
Sheaf 6.5- think he’s underrated.
Eccles 5- tidy player, good on the ball but needs to fill out a bit.
Shipley 5- always good for a goal but doesn’t do anything else, passenger in some games. League 1 loan next year.
allen 5- decent player but game passes him by to often, a good league 1 player.
O’hare 8.5- player of the season, played in every game. Work rates are incredible, needs to add goals but if he does then he won’t be here much longer, managers dream.

Walker 6.5- stop start season, been accused of being lazy and uninterested but that’s just his style, looked lethal infront of goal and expecting a big year next season.
godden 6.5- similar to Walker struggled for fitness all year, still managed to get a decent return of goals, movement and bringing the midfield into play impressed me this season. Hopefully sorts issues with his foot out over the summer.
Bakayoko 4- looked like a deer in the headlights whenever he’s played this season, out his depth. Thankyou for Charlton away but time to part ways.
Biamou 7- expecting pelters for having him as highest rated striker but it’s a game of opinions. Think he worked tirelessly and caused some real problems without being prolific for them months without godden and Walker and hate to think where we would of been without him. Probably time to part ways but he’s more than played his part this year.
Gyokores 6- got better as the season went on. He’s raw but got some attributes to be a good striker. Not sure if I’d try to sign him in the summer.

Someone please put me out of my misery and tell me who I’m thinking of... the full back (think left back) who just kept resigning on loan... I keep thinking Stephen warnock but it isn’t. I know it’s going to be so obvious when I hear the name!

Im just gonna do signings and loans in

Dacosta - 6 good attacker could possibly be better as a RW or RM rather than RWB.
McCallum - 8 he is very underated by many on here he got better as the season went on and has been one of our best players.
Giles - 5 Good attacking similar to Dacosta would be better as a LW or LM, reason likely to have been recalled is probably he wasnt playing as McCallum kept getting better.
Osti - 9 Nothing needs to be said we all know how good he is.
Hamer - 8.5 looked a bit jaded towards end of season but thats gonna come naturally in the season we just had considering his performance levels until the dip.
Sheaf - 6.5 underated by many but is a classic Arsenal player (prefers more time on the ball), has a hospital pass on him, thanks for his services but its a no from me.
James - 7.5 Oozes his quality, you can clearly see the Premier league in him.
Hilssner - 4 its clearly not been a pleasant spell for the lad and will be moved on, wish him all the well as he seems like an alright guy to eat a steak with (thats what Kasta said).
O’hare - 9.5 only thing stopping him getting 10 is finishing most times.
Gyo - 7 got better later on and I would take him back if we can get him on the cheap with potential resale value, would be a good addition.
Walker - 7.5 he is not lazy just not sharp or fit he wants to score goals and he can score goals just has not had the chance to hit the 15 mark

The only fair ratings you’ll see on here given we struggled for most of the season.

—————

Wilson - 4.5. Meh. Need a new starting GK.

Marosi - 4. See Wilson. Think Marosi is slightly worse.

—————

DaCosta - 4. Very hot and cold. Looks good one game then shite the next. Not convinced.

Dabo - 4. Been disappointed more often than not when he’s played this season.

Pask - 5. Looked OK when played.

Rose - 3. Shite. Need to replace.

Ostigard - 6. Our best CB. Would like him back next season.

Mcfadzean - 4. Slightly less shite than Rose.

Hyam - 4. See above. Unlike most Cov fans I cannot forgive large patches of utterly dogshit performances because of a few good results at the end of the season.

McCallum - 3. Awful. Nothing going forward and a liability defensively. Please don’t get him back AGAIN next year Robins.

Giles - 2. Basically an even worse McCallum.

—————

Kelly - 5. One of our more consistent players.

James - 6. Solid player and experienced head. Would like him back next season.

Hamer - 6.5. Carried us almost single-handedly throughout the first half of the season before a dip in form. Easily our most talented player.

Sheaf - 4. Flashes of something every now and then, but I’m not convinced. Wouldn’t take him back.

Eccles - 5. I think he will play a much bigger part next season. Looks promising from the few games he’s played.

Shipley - 2. Again, I can’t let a couple of goals recently in what were nothing games forgive the fact he has looked massively out of his depth whenever he’s played.

Allen - 4. Rated him last year but been disappointed this season.

O’hare - 3. He is an attacking mid who panics in front of goal. Probably the worst finisher I’ve ever seen in a City shirt. We would have been safe a lot earlier had he not wasted so many chances. I keep repeating this, but unlike other City fans I cannot forgive how bad he is in front of goal or around the box simply because he runs 72 miles a game and chases players down. Would take the first offer for him.

—————

Walker - 5. The best of our strikers which is saying something.

Godden - 4. Good finisher when asked, but way too slow for this league. Passenger in too many games. Get rid.

Bakayoko - 3. Nowhere near good enough if we’re serious about pushing on.

Biamou - 4.5. Prefer him to Godden and had some excellent games, but I don’t think he’s good enough.

Gyokores - 5. Wrote him off initially but he was winning me over as the season went on. Probably wouldn’t take him back mind.

Wilson - 6 - not good enough long term but think he’s done ok, deserves some credit. He’s decisive, knows when to just get rid, and I think the defence were better with him.

Dabo - 4 - disappointing, never fully fit, expect him to really get going next season and get back to his best

Rose - 4 - Same as Dabo

Ostigard - 8 - great talent, great heart, would love him back

Fadz - 7 - If it wasn’t for silly mistakes it would genuinely be a 9/10 - he’s an awesome defender but just had some horrible moments. Also won us games through heroic defending.

Hyam - 6.5 - really grew into it, last 1/4 of the season I thought he did great. Harder for him not being left footed

McCallum 7.5 - Brilliant season from a great young player - will go a long way, love his attitude

Kelly - 7 - injury prone but brilliant when in the side, so important to us

James - 8 - no surprise he hit form once he found his feet, great player at this level. Hope he get him on a permanent.

Sheaf - 3 - thought he started but just tailed off - will be a good player I’m sure

Hamer - 7 - dropped off but can’t forget his form until the end of Jan - the reason we’re staying in the division is because of him. Need to keep him, 20,000 Cov fans cheering him will get another level from him

Shipley - 4 - love his attitude coming back at the end of the season, need more of that as he struggled and lost his confidence. Shipley needs to be one of those scoring 10+ goals to stay in the team, his game otherwise can be lacking, but he can finish!

Allen - 3 - nowhere near for me, likeable player and a good performer last season but he’s struggle every time he’s played IMO

O’Hare - 8.5 - player of the season for me. We’re very lucky to have him. Yes if he was more clinical it would be great, but if he was then he’d be playing in the PL. Plus he’s young, and can improve that aspect of his game.

Baka - 2 - didn’t really get a chance, good luck to him on his next club

Godden - 5 - injured for too much but did well when he played, some important goals

Walker - 5 - did ok, hoping for improvement next season, though the team need to create more for him

Biamou - 5 - more than held his own at this level, had a few games where the opposition defence couldn’t live with his physicality. In a 2 up top I think he works and in our current squad is essential.

Gyo - 5 - like the other strikers did ok, not overly great but showed some great moments

Mine was based around expectations not against the standard of the championship. So as we’ve performed above expectation scores are higher than average

I’m just basing it on the performances I’ve seen from them. IMO O’Hare has been a detriment to the team more often than not (whereas Eccles hasn’t) hence the lower rating.

“detriment of the team” - no son, one of the best players in the team this season. Taking kick after kick, laying on key assists and making key interceptions high up the pitch. You have no clue. Can only assume you have never played the game to any kind of level yourself, as your lack of knowledge is exposing you
