Key this coming season is to bring players into the fold much earlier in the summer. None of this waiting around.

Robins shows intent early on that may convince people to sign up to another season.

Lately we have just dithered and dithered and waited and missed out on targets.

We need them lined up this time and bang, bang, bang, signed on the dotted line.

I think if we show the intent we mean business, that in turn will be reflected in ST sales.

When we dither and wait and leave it to the last minute it is easy to see why some fans feel they are being taken for a ride.
If he finds and out of contract goalkeeper that has a pedigree and signs him this week then maybe I will renew

I do think this maybe a business (season-ticket sales) decision. If Slade was staying on or hanging on, season tickets would be flat. Now Robins is in, it could give a morale boost to some fans.

Be best to wait n see who we get in. Based on this season, ST sales will be affected so explains Robins arrival. Good luck to him. Robins does have to be desperate tho.

He isn't paying for them though ;)

I might get somebody else to pay for my season ticket, then I give them the money and then I am NOPM for next season!
Just think of all that money SISU can spend with the NOPM's money, then Tim will announce in the summer again that "We are going to support the manager to assemble a squad capable of getting promotion"...

Or your Wembley money?

I'd be laughing more at people going on about boycotts and NOPM and then queuing up to hand their money over.
Laugh away, I never queued up.. ;)

You'd rather laugh at fans then laugh at the desperation of our owners, sums you up.

I think it was a decision based on the fact that Slade was a sh!t manager for us and had an awful record. By all accounts the football was atrocious as well. I see what you're saying and there is an element of truth in it as if Robins gets us, say, 6 wins from however many games left, and wins us a cup, then it's good business getting him in as we'll sell more STs.

I'm willing to put a £10 charity bet on that we don't sell over 4000 ST's next season, anyone want a punt? Any charity of your choice?

Are you going to watch at Wembley knowing we are being relegated?
Yeah along with presumably 40,000 other sky blues. You forgetting I've watched nearly the whole season knowing relegation is looming? Or is my lack of Ricoh visits blocking out that perception of where we are?

Nice deflection though.

I'll never understand why someone would bet on something negative. Like betting on one of our strikers scoring less than 5 goals or something. What do you get out of it?
Assuming you think selling less than 4000 season tickets is a negative of course.

Deflection from what? You going against your morals?

You went to the Ricoh though didn't you? Which is my point ;)

No, it's the delusions that people conjure up thinking an army of Sky Blue will now queue up because we have Robins, whilst forgetting this league we're about to drop to hasn't been seen since 1959...

Whatever happens, a charity gains £10...

Pretty sure the only person to recieve money from my Ricoh return was my mate :) oh and SISU/CCFC got £10 from Wycombe game, and £32 for Wembley.

Like I said, my money convinced Robins to come, you're welcome.

It may well be delusion and you may well be right, but for you to be right we need to be selling fuck all season tickets. I'd rather be betting on something positive happening, each to their own though. I just don't get it.

Just give the £10 now and I'll match it. Fuck it.

Edit: and when I say bet I mean a 'winning an argument bet' which this clearly is, not an actual proper bet.

Read this entire thread, amongst others, people saying Robins appointment will maybe increase ST sales now Slade has gone.

Yes, if we win games and play well. Same as people saying if he gets backing they will get one..

Common sense isn't it if Robins has a strong end to the season more people will get one compared to an awful Slade end?

No we'll need to sell less than 4000 for me to be right, but I also had this figure whilst Slade was here, I can't see Robins appointment making the ST sales any different. Just my opinion of course.

If you want something positive to happen, then being rid of SISU for good would be the only way to start the positivity in this club and fan base. SISU are negative, they make me negative, along with thousands of other Sky Blues.

So your opinion is if Robins gives us a good end to the season, we may have an increase in ST's for next season? Is that an increase of this seasons ST's that we have presently?

No, that is based on an increase over what we would have if we lost every game from now until the end of the season compared to if Robins wins us a few games. Then if you read a lot of the replies they mention how he is backed pre-season.

I did say that:

Fair enough.

It is our swan song season at The Ricoh, I guess that may factor into some peoples thinking, or maybe not.

Attacking fans and kids? Oh dear..

What I do see is the attack of fans who don't attend the Ricoh for whatever reason, perhaps karma comes round that way?

Don't bring kids into it, I've already told you I couldn't care less what you do, move on like you said yesterday.
