Season ticket update (3 Viewers)

I've had an Email today which basically reconfirms my ST purchase. Presumably it's so I can show it at the ticket office if my ticket doesn't arrive at my humble abode out in the sticks.
Thankfully I'm old fashioned enough to have a printer because I'm old fashioned enough not to use my phone for emails

I’ve also had an email but no ticket attached

The tickets are being posted out

“Dispatch of paper tickets for the game versus Nottingham Forest for Phase 1 Season Ticket holders will take place on Wednesday, to reach fans by Friday at the latest.”

Perhaps someone at the club thought they had better try a new season ticket in the gate scanner and found that it didn't work

Without digging at the club, they've done a heck of a lot right recently including off the field. But stuff like this is basic. Kits released before the season for extra revenue, sort out season tickets which have bene purchased for months. That's your bread and butter. If we messed up in my place of work like that, someone would be out the door.

ST thing happens every year. Not sure why they always leave it so late to post them out.

I do get though why this year had added complications.

I'll say it again as people keep asking the same question.

The e tickets are pdf files and will come on a second email.
Mine took two days for the Wolves game and two hours yesterday for Forest

Course but just trying to give some context as to why things aren’t as simple as some may think. But yep go ahead and jump on the smash up

It’s not a smash up but how from a customers standpoint is this acceptable. Why defend the indefensible?

Not defending and yes it is. So long as everyone gets their tickets that’s good no?
also the point was someone had made a sensible suggestion with merit I thought they should email Tynan. You said there’s no point

You have a contract with the club that allows you t watch the game in the ground. Nothing more, nothing less. You will be permitted to do so by the supply of a paper ticket. There is no obligation to give you a nice shiny card now or at any other time. Clearly they would prefer you to have the card as logistically it's long term easier and cheaper, but there really is nothing to see here.

Personally I'm more concerned about whether we'll have our new loan centre back in time for Sunday.
Not sure we have that do we, not fussed about shiny card, wasn’t commenting about that, I was referencing the operational failure that results in wasted money that would go towards the loan centre back, when budgets are tight then every penny counts.
would take paper tickets or pdf all day long if we see us win.

The club is run on a shoestring, that is the underlying reason for these types of fuck up. The ticket office staff are no doubt trying to re establish at the Ricoh whilst doing this at the same time.

Unprofessional and pretty irritating, but it is what it is.

If people don’t get their tickets in time for Sunday that’s an actual reason to be pissed off.

And it will likely be carnage, the Ricoh/CBS always has been whenever we have a crowd above 10k - regardless of ticket cock ups. I’d like to hope they’d learn, but based on Wolves I doubt it.

They’ve explained that there were issues with the new ticket scanning equipment being installed at the ground, and they needed to wait until that was sorted before they could order the appropriate cards. Yes ultimately the buck stops with the club but at the end of the day it seems like a stadium issue (which we don’t own) which has fucked over their timeline.

They probably could have done this a week ago but would have probably for the same reaction. Fucked if they do fucked if they don’t.

Should be at least 25k, if not more. We’ve been starved of live football because of Covid, haven’t even been able to enjoy promotion or a successful season maintaining Championship status with the players and fans. Even before then, those not travelling to Birmingham would’ve not see us play at the Ricoh for well over 2 years.

The City should be champing at the bit and the place should be absolutely bouncing. I’m personally counting down the seconds until I can shove my paper ticket through the scanner. The ST issue is irritating but it’s not the first time it’s occurred so I suppose we shall just have to grit our teeth (I did see somebody on the feral forum requesting a refund!). I’m more bothered about the 2 home kits for me and my boy, plus a tracksuit that I ordered over 2 weeks ago.. still ‘processing’. 🙄

glad theres been no overreaction here :LOL:

Why people want their tickets weeks before they need them i'll never know, pictures for Instagram is it?

If you bought a ST and get in the ground for Game 1, i really dont see any issue, but hey lets have a moan anyway shall we.

Because I wanted to change seat and get my son who's back in Coventry area next to my new seat as he won't be able to attend many games this season.

But hey, only paid for it 4 months ago and haven't t had any reply to my e mails trying to sort it out but hey, hunky fucking dory.
