2 STs not renewed here. Bought mine ok but my daughters wasn’t able to be purchased as they need ID for her age. Did this and they updated her details but said it was still age restricted. Wasn’t last season. Paid for 2 adult premier STs and was able to use for my friends when she couldn’t go. They told me today because she is 19 so is classed as a young adult and her ST can’t be used for other adults. Even though it is the same price. What difference does it make. 1 ST is no good to me as I want my daughter or friends sat next to me. Didn’t bother renewing and have asked for full refund on mine. Will have to pick and choose my games next season and sit wherever I can get a ticket. Bit pissed off but probably sensible as can’t get to a lot of the fixtures that are not Saturdays due to living too far away and work commitments. We’ve had STs for 3 seasons now. Means points will start to reduce going forward. The ST points and the odd away game are what keep me in the hunt for big game tickets. Never mind.

Could you not buy two adults (second under your friends name)? I appreciate you may lose points on ST2 and are annoyed at the pettiness being displayed by the club at the moment.

We've got 5 renewals pending but I need another seat for my other grandson, only problem is there's no empty seats near to ours.
We want to stay where we are (28), cos we've got friends on the row in front, I have no idea how it's going to happen!!

I could do that, but don’t think it fair to lose the points and have to start again under someone else’s name. It was fine last year. She was 18 then. I get to most of the Saturday home games and my daughter to half of those. It’s 200 miles to cov from here. The other games I take friends to sit in her seat. I have introduced 6 friends to watching Coventry over the last 2-3 years that way. Why can’t her ticket just be an adult ticket? They are both priced £500. What difference does it make? I would understand if I was paying less for her ticket and trying to let an adult use her ticket in her place. That would be wrong, just like trying to get in on a child’s ticket is wrong. The woman on the phone was quite clear that no one else could use the ticket. No use to me whatsoever. I’m sure there was some club correspondence to one of the supporters groups last year about letting others use your ST and it said that although against the rules they understand people do it and would never see that as a problem. Only if adults were trying to use a child’s ticket. The ticket office are just doing their job. Got no issues with them. Just really disappointed with this. Good idea though. Whether I cave in and do that is yet to be seen. I’ll stew over it. Probably won’t though. I can watch more games on Sky now anyway😉

Not sure I get this fuss over the FZ. Usually very vocal about treating fans with respect and keeping prices down, but this seems entirely sensible. I've just spent £1300 on STs. In the FZ it would have been £700. Had I chosen that option I would have understood it came with conditions, it would have been a huge saving so I'd have no reason to complain.

There are lots of families who can't commit to STs but will come to the odd game. Last season these people were locked out of the area and the potential discounted family tickets the club could have offered, and yet it was less than half full some games. Won't be the case next season and that's a good thing.

Weird. Is this a matter of the club's policy, or is it just a quirk of the way the IT system is configured ('computer says no')? If you pay the full adult price for her seat, how/why would they stop an adult using it?
I realise that tickets are technically non-transferable, but there's also a thing called common sense.

Suspect they probably won’t sell you it on that basis as it’s a breach of the season ticket terms and conditions but in reality unless it flags up as a child ticket it’s totally unenforceable and they’ve never made the slightest attempt to enforce.

In fact I believe they told Pete pretty much that at one of the meetings

I’ve just checked again and it is now allowing me to buy her premier ST as an adult 18-21. It wouldn't let me do it this afternoon. Only problem is do I buy it and hope it is treated as an adult ticket so my friends can join me when she can’t attend or do I wait to confirm I wont get any grief. The age should not make any difference if the ticket price is the same.

Question for Pete.

The fuss is this.....
A mate of mine has 4 STs.....himself plus his 3 kids
1 of those kids is 5 so can't go to midweek games
As a result, if one child can't go he has been told all tickets need to be put on the exchange and they have to sort tickets out elsewhere.
This is fuckin madness from our club!!

Have had two interactions with ticket office staff this week, in person and by phone. They couldn’t have been more helpful. That’s not to dismiss anyone else’s poor experience but to add balance.
My experience of the ticket office and shop staff has been really positive too, especially over the last few months.

Around ten years ago, in the dark days when everything was cut to the bone, services got so bad that the club were actually making it difficult to give them money for anything.

This recent nonsense with not letting people put a date of birth down and then denying a 19 year old an adult ticket makes it seem a bit like that.

Ticket office staff are brilliant imo
It's the rules/system that they work with that causes the frustrations.....same with most businesses

Surprised we've not seen a sales figure yet as you normally do in the first 24 hours. Perhaps not as good as expected?

Yep I remember buying tickets for away games from a small kiosk at Cov rugby ground at the Butts

Yeah office block 101 lockhurst lane, pathetic office with a couple of laptops and a printer, queued up for hrs there one. The club was on its knees.
Yeah all the gripes aired on here over the last few days (real though they are and needing to be sorted out) are trivial compared to the years when even having a club to support and a team to watch were in serious doubt.

Just renewed our 4 in block 20, off to do the North Coast 500 in Scotland tomorrow for 2 weeks, so will temper my excitement build up for the new season until I get back PUSB
If you're doing the the NC500 in a camper van, please pull over to let faster moving traffic through 😀

Caved and got me and the daughter standard zone STs. Block 25. By no means my first choice but it’s slim pickings on the map. I figure she need only attend 10 games at full price and the ST pays for itself. I may try the lad at his first game when she can’t come using her ticket. Hopefully (a) new member(s) of the skyblue army can make use of our soon to be released FZ seats.

They're going to turn the FZ into adult and teenager zone.....it works for those family but not for younger family which is exactly what it should be for imo
I'd have it where you need an under 14. If you're 14 or older you can do without a family zone
Would increase capacity for younger families too or reduce the FZ

Couldn’t believe how the low the club was it felt almost non league to move to an office block for a ticket office then the upgrade to a bar at the rugby club. Now on a upwards journey 😀
