Wont be a bad gig for Ticketmaster - over £160k from the estimated ST sales this year.
The rationale isn’t unreasonable as under 14s need to be accompanied by a responsible adult regardless of health status. That’s the rationale
I think individual cases need a closer look and John would want to
You will be in trouble if it was ShelaghJust purchased first few ST's from the fund for this year, steady queue at the ticket office and good to see Sheila back. Said sales and renewals were going well.
The £8 Ticketmaster fees are going to hurt this year though on the purchases.
Just had an email from the O2. You can now only even attempt to get accessible or carers tickets if you purchase a card and go through a process of providing documentation to establish that you are legally entitled to the level of support you are claiming. That’s the rationale

Surely it’s precisely what the club wanted to happen?Need to give details to chief operating officer the club won’t have wanted that to happen
Old guy with a season ticket for 55 years doesn’t get one due to a change of policy on carers mmmmmm not sureSurely it’s precisely what the club wanted to happen?
Me tooJust had an email from the O2. You can now only even attempt to get accessible or carers tickets if you purchase a card and go through a process of providing documentation to establish that you are legally entitled to the level of support you are claiming.
This is definitely the way things are going, as with so many things there are who have abused the system to get cheap or free tickets when they're not really needed and the number of people doing so has got to a point where many venues believe it is out of control and impacting their revenues.
Of course the problem is, as we saw with the family zone, when you clamp down on people abusing any system you will catch genuine cases in your net. The key for me is always how the discretion is applied.
No-one forced the club to change their policy - clearly they feel there should be a different threshold to meet demand for tickets and make the maximum amount of money from it. There will inevitably be people who miss out as a result, and the club should own that, rather than try and make things up as they go along, one STH at a time.Old guy with a season ticket for 55 years doesn’t get one due to a change of policy on carers mmmmmm not sure
Passed over the information , cheers PeteOld guy with a season ticket for 55 years doesn’t get one due to a change of policy on carers mmmmmm not sure
I knew it was spelt differently but couldn't remember, thank youYou will be in trouble if it was Shelagh
They haven't added points yet, not sure when they are planning to do it thoughI renewed mine yesterday but no points added, could it be cos I used the finance option??
no, not had my points yet, and i renewed 21 minutes after they went on sale.I renewed mine yesterday but no points added, could it be cos I used the finance option??
Would be madness if true.Mate of mines mum has an over 65 ticket. Asked if he could upgrade her to the adult price (so his sister can use it essentially when she can't make it) but said absolutely not.
Club literally turning down free money
Why madness? When you actually look at what's being asked they're saying they don't want to renew the season ticket, they want someone else to be able to renew that seat. Suspect the system won't allow that as the seat is currently reserved for the person who had it last year and for obvious reasons there won't be a process for people to suddenly become younger.Would be madness if true.
Club have been fed up of people using concessionary tickets illegally but someone tries to do the right thing and is denied. No wonder people don't bother.
Just tell the sister to have heavy make-up, a sky blue rinse, wear a cardie and a headscarf and walk with a slightly bowed back as she goes through the turnstiles..
My understanding was that it was fine if done reasonably and not been used to make a profit. Why madness? And while we all know that people share season tickets what is being asked of the ticket office is technically in breach of season ticket terms & conditions which state the ticket is only to be used by the named purchaser.
Surely the easy solution is just to wait until the season ticket renewal period ends and the seat is released and then buy it for an adult?
That's exactly how I've been getting in on my Senior ticket for several years now.Just tell the sister to have heavy make-up, a sky blue rinse, wear a cardie and a headscarf and walk with a slightly bowed back as she goes through the turnstiles..
AFAIK all the club have said, to Pete in one of the supporters meetings, was that passing your season ticket on to someone else to use is a breach of the terms and conditions but if its being used by someone in the same price category they will generally turn a blind eye.My understanding was that it was fine if done reasonably and not been used to make a profit.
A stupid system configuration issue then, not a club policy.AFAIK all the club have said, to Pete in one of the supporters meetings, was that passing your season ticket on to someone else to use is a breach of the terms and conditions but if its being used by someone in the same price category they will generally turn a blind eye.
I suspect that part of the problem is the system more than likely won't let the staff in the ticket office do something like this. The seat will be locked to the current ticket holder until release day and obviously they won't have an option on the system to say that someone is suddenly younger than in previous years.
that's what i wear to games. That's exactly how I've been getting in on my Senior ticket for several years now.
As Dave said the club will have her name and age on the system, they won't just be able to change her age on the system to process the adult ticket.Mate of mines mum has an over 65 ticket. They didn't put that on the side of a bus!Fingerprint biometric entry coming
You need to be linked to each other on the ticketing siteApologies if it's been asked already, but does anyone know how we renew junior season tickets as well as our own on the site?
I'm in the Family Zone and bought all tickets in my party last year, but it's now only letting me renew my own, and obviously I'm then getting the "need a junior with you" error message when I checkout.
Assume it's going to be a phone the ticket office job?
