Will get the usual abuse but heading towards Mid June and not having a sponsor ready again is poor

Doug said he will learn the lessons of the kit farce last year

Fumbling monzo for the 2nd year in a row and 'still in talks' doesnt sound like that to me

:ROFLMAO: Like clockwork...

Who's head are we rolling?

Why does it matter to us if the sponsor is sorted yet?

Again, imagine it was Tim Fisher overseeing last years shit show. No kits to fans until October. Players on the bench in shirts with no sponsor until game 3.

To then say we've learnt from it, and then fastforward 12 months and not have the sponsor nailed down

Its poor

Last year was a shit show. I'd say if the kits are available for the start of summer holidays that is still acceptable.

If Fisher had been in charge the last thing to have been worried about would be shirt sponsors.

Tbf, you do not know the reasoning behind talks stumbling. There could be a number of different reasons. Commercial transactions like that will be a lot more complex than you realise.

Maybe the issue is Monzo being difficult. There’s no evidence either way. The only evidence you can go against with how King operates is what Darragh MacAnthony (Peterborough owner) said, who was nothing but complimentary.

Has anyone got any experience of using the finance option? I’m usually averse to taking stuff like this but with an expensive summer coming up, I’d like to spread the cost of a PL package tbh.

It would be nice to have the kits on sale little TGP has the money burning a hole in his pocket, people like to have them for their summer holidays

I doubt you realize the complexities of these types of negotiations and how sporadic the meetings are and the amount of toing and froing there is. Also nothing to say a potential sponsor might be in potential talks with more than one team, just like we might be in talks with more than one potential sponsor.

Also sponsorship is a very competitive business and the money isn't out there that once was.

Anyway a deal might be done but the relevant parties may not wish to announce it yet? You are talking like we are two weeks into the season already. Last season has barely finished.

Is not ideal but then how many teams around the UK have kits on sale yet anyway? Very few. If waiting an extra couple of weeks means a better deal financially surely thats for the best isnt it?

That depends on the details doesn't it?

What if Monzo's offers were low or if they tried to change the deal at the last minute? What if Octopus came along late in the day and offered significantly more?

Not sure I'd class either of those scenarios as a farce from the clubs side.
