To join a mailing list to discuss setting up a club that has no support to set up would have been a very odd thing for me to do 
This is however detracting from the main point, that I was backing you up about there being no hidden agenda re: Sphinx!
Anyway, won't be going myself, mainly because I've been in bed all Christmas with a fever, so as a big wuss, not standing out in the cold and wet to get ill again.

Don't know what others thought but that's the third time I've been and the standard of football is much better than I expected (although I had very low expectations) and today was a really good game with Sphinx getting a hard fought but deserved 3-1 win. It's friendly, low key and post-match M&B mild is a personal favourite. For anyone who wants to watch a game in Coventry it's well worth giving it a try. Just need same result for CCFC tomorrow!

Ashley Cain,at least i think It was him shone In the second half ,young Ricky Fletcher at Center Half released by the under 18's In the Summer .They seemed to Improve playing up the slope In the second half ..
A message for every one who Is considering going this way In the future ,Its not an amazing spectacle but was enjoyable .Clubs such as Spinx and Alvechurch who they were playing today only exist for and through the love people are willing to put into them,any AFC teams are going to require that before anger /frustration /getting even If they are to survive long term.
In answer to CCFCWAY I could'nt really tell ,every one was In dark winter clothing ,hazard a guess at 15-20 but that Is just a guess

I enjoyed my afternoon at the sphinx, meet four or five people who I haven't seen for a couple of years and it was nice to be back on familiar territory.
The crowd was around 140, which was considerably smaller than I had expected,but still around double previous attendances (pre Sixfields) . The match was competitive and enjoyable, with Sphinx worthy of the win, Ashley Cain was the main threat and his extra ability was apparent throughout.
A number of fellow sky blues were evident due to numerous Coventry hats, scarfs ect being evident.
In conclusion a good afternoon with a couple of mates watching football in Cov, could Sphinx replace CCFC in my heart ? Never , but I will not enter Sixfields under ANY circumstances, so it may be The Sphinx on a few more occasions.

It won't be Rotherham/Barnsley, but anyone know if Coventry Sphinx's match tonight is on/off? I really miss the atmosphere of ccfc night games, always seem special somehow
