I asked for a meeting with ML. I got one. TF was invited but didn't show. It isn't difficult and as proven they are willing to meet fans.

Oggy must be really pi55ed off then*!!! Literally LOLLING my a55 off!!!

(*If you don't know, Oggy's had his nose broken on numerous occasions, so I was making a joke about his nose being put out of joint and that means he's not happy with the current situation at the club!!!)

CWR have openly invited JS to attend any phone in or facility a forum so why does she not accept? Surely this is better than a secret squirrel meeting?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I said that to her directly as well twice. She needs to go on CWR and do a phone in.
She never directly said yes or no. She just said she has to focus on the JR at the moment.

Surely a series of small scale fans meetings is the way to go. That way you stand a better chance of getting your questions heard (maybe not always answered)

As soon as it becomes large scale there will be someone that tries to derail the meeting and it just becomes a circus of abuse and heckling.

People have their nose put out of joint as they are fed up with the situation and the lack of any progress at all on any front since the move. Personally, I have no interest in attending a forum(large or small) purely to hear nothing at all really in person from them. Regardless of the audience size if there is nothing to announce / share then what is the point ?

What would help is a clear, reasoned and open strategy for the next 3 - 5 years articulated in plain English. Maybe they could do something radical like put it on the website.

Tim Fisher set out his three-year vision very openly in the CET 12 months ago...

Despite this clearly articulated plan to build a new stadium, we've seen little progress except for a couple of drawings allegedly similar to rejected proposals for Brentford's new ground and the club's directors seem to spend most of their time talking about City's old ground even though they said they had moved on.

What good is a strategy for public consumption if it doesn't appear to be followed?

Some people just don't get it do you.

"You just have to ask if you want to meet"

I think the issue you guys are having is not everyone is a starstruck teenager who wants to feel special. Some of us want the club run properly and realise that meeting 5 fans here 15 fans there at unannounced (better for you Nick) meetings isn't the way to go.

You keep saying "ask yourself" yet also admit that absolutely nothing of use has come from your meetings. So is it really the master strategy you claim or just another example of some fans having their ego stroked?

The club need to start talking to the 9k fans they pissed off last season. You don't do that in small scale meetings. You don't need fan opinion, it's very clear. We don't need to hear the same answers again, but to our ears, we need action.

Just like the stadium forum before it, it's another mechanism to split the fans into the Super Special wanted fans and everyone else.

Dear Tim

I don't want a meeting with you or JS or ML, I want you to have a meeting with CCC and come to an agreement to bring us back to Coventry.

I agree that actions will have far more of an impact that any fan forum ever could.

The owners have a huge job of re-engaging the fan base after the mess of the last few years. The best way is to start delivering something tangible for us all to see in getting the club back to Coventry one way or the other. Having some small scale fan meetings is perfectly fine to supplement it though - but not the only mechanism IMO.

The idea of some fans being 'special' has gone on for years, you will always get that with supporters trusts/ fans committees etc.

Nobody has said people will be changed or amazed by it. I also don't think anybody acts like a star struck teenager by any of it.

Even the people who were calling for Fans Forums on a large scales have now said that actually they won't work.

I say if people are so bothered about being "left out" then I am pretty sure they would be more than welcome at a smaller meeting with other fans. You can achieve the same as a 300 person fans forum by having smaller meetings of 25 people or so and more of them.

But it is Friday and there is nothing to moan about in the CET yet is there about a stock take or anything.

I am pretty sure most people know we need action.

I see the pros and cons to this argument. For example fair play to the club for meeting with fans but what about the other 9k as mentioned they pissed off last season.

It is a good thing they are meeting but what been reported back and the point to it seems very little. What actually has this meeting achieved bar meeting a few high people in the club. We know they put spin on everything they say and we also know nothing will happen to at least the JR.

I hear reports back from posters who are disagreeing with what was said. Was it 3 sites down to or is it now 1? And JS says Ricoh not an option but TF thinks it is.

Myself, I've always judged life and it's events at face value as you can't ever go far wrong. So in my opinion why are they proceeding with an expensive, time consuming, painful experience of a JR if you don't want the Ricoh or anything to do with it? The answer is simple you do. Of course you do else there just isn't a point. So if JS said at this meeting she is completely no to the Ricoh whatever which is apparently what she said then how can this be true? It can't be. The issue is then how can we believe the rest of the talk from these meetings?

Bit moody because it's been a wet half term and you haven't been able to go out and play?

On the sites number, in the one on one with TF he said the same thing as he did Weds night. They had three now it is down to one and they are finalising it.
However the planning permission will take ages. For me there is no question mark that that is what he said.

So how come Joy was in Coventry I hardly think she would have come up just to meet the fans ?
Could she have met the council ?
Could she have been up to look at the new stadium site ?

Thanks, but didnt someone else get confused with it still being 3 sites. Anyway I'm sure you're right it was just a point of confusion really. Do you honestly think ccfc will build a new stadium? Maybe JS was in Coventry for a secret meeting with the council then on to a secret meeting with 15 fans?

No I don't think they will.

I think they will buy the land and apply for planning permission for a stadium and retail.

However land with planning permission is worth more than its costs. Even as far as land with the retail on it is a decent investment in the right place.

If you have given up on the Ricoh

You don't pursue the JR
You make a public offer to temporarily rent at the Ricoh. In order to win the fans over and secure a fan base. Plus make more money.
You don't hesitate when asked so you will never return to the table to negotiate for the Ricoh.
You don't encourage fans to try and get the council to talk to you.

By what she was saying she did not have any meeting with the council.

She said she had previously met with AL but that did not go anywhere.

Thing is I think JS and TF agree on one thing - the club need to own and control its own stadium and all the revenue streams from it.
They may disagree if it will be possible to get the Ricoh due to CCC wanting sisu gone before accepting to sell ACL to the club, but even if negotiations did start then JS and TF may disagree if the terms would be commercially acceptable to sisu and the club.

So the main road have to be building a new stadium. That is something they can largely control themselves but should CCC want to negotiate at any time up to the point where construction actually starts, then they may go for the Ricoh. If the terms offered are acceptable.

The JR is important to sisu/JS as if they win two things may happen which both supports the possibility of returning to the Ricoh - ACL will have to refinance and may find it difficult to get a new loan they can afford. Sisu may be in a position where they can claim damages. One or both happening would strengthen sisu's negotiation and the price on ACL would be lower.

But winning the JR isn't certain, so they keep pursuing the new stadium. From a management/strategic pov this makes sense to me. From a fans pov it is frustrating as this will only prolong the weak financial position of the club, make it difficult to build and maintain a strong team and keep fuelling the diversion of the supporter base.

Overall I will be surprised if sisu takes any step to open negotiations with CCC. They will wait to see if CCC will contact them before the JR. If not, they will wait to see if CCC contact them after. And all along they will stick to the road that leads to building a new stadium. To me - the longer CCC wait to contact sisu, the less they will get for their shares and if they wait too long they may realize the stadium will have to live without the team it was purpose build for.

You are also going on about it when you don't know what you are talking about...

I didn't go, no.

Contact the club if you want to meet them.

Tim said he would arrange for me to meet JS. I'm still waiting for the invite

So if you want to meet her, contact the club and ask like the others did?

That hardly helps those of us who are overseas, who are just as curious/desperate for answers as anyone, but who don't have the luxury of just contacting the club and asking to meet and have our chance to do some grilling.

Unless they want to pay for me to fly over there for a meeting

Yes, she's inbetween the two club mouthpieces & is that not Laura Deering on her left?
Waggot is in the row behind!

Obviously the new stadium must have been discussed.
Is the plan for AEG to run it ?
Are Sisu looking to build conference halls ?
I just don't see the point of the new stadium if its just match day revenue !

The Dong saw her face too in the secret meeting .. but even he does not have that much clarity of whether that lady on the far left is her on the pic.

She must be a master of disguise. So whats her real name, Joy Chameleon Sepella.
