Dong isn't saying he is converted and believes it all is he?
No ,I dont think he does
The thing is ,after reading his posts, the man that wanted answers has come out of the meeting knowing less than when he went in !
They are not interested in a return to the Ricoh ?. They are building a stadium ? The JR doesnt mean anything ??
JS and TF are very shrewd individuals playing with big stakes . No contest in small meetings
Fair play to him for getting off his arse and having a go while we all whinge ,but "secret" meetings arnt gonna stop me whinging if i think im being taken for a ride

I suggest you judge her by her actions as owner rather than whatever she said at this meeting.

Sometimes it's what someone doesn't say that is more important than what they do say.

Their message was there is no deal to be had for the Ricoh the only plan is the new stadium.

They had concerns over the PR they get.
They had concerns about losing the future generations whilst building the stadium.
They admitted that been at the Ricoh whilst building the stadium makes more sense.

Yet despite this they had no real answer for why don't they put in a bid for ACL in the public arena. For whatever figure they value it at. As long as that figure is reasonable, if the council refuse to talk or it is outright rejected. You automatically get the fans on your side and win the PR battle.

If its accepted you get a better deal than building a new stadium

Either way you don't lose

If it is true that that is no longer an option and its the new stadium only. Then you make a public request to be at the Ricoh on the exact same terms that you are currently on in Northampton.

Again if it is rejected you look like the good guy. You were trying to get the club back

If its accepted you safe guard for future generations of fans and most importantly you make more money.

Again a win win.

Unfortunately and I appreciate others interrupted when they tried to answer these two questions. However there was no real answer as to why you don't do either of the above.

The only answer I can think is you need ACL under pressure. Which is also why you still pursue the JR.

I would take every opportunity to meet them the more knowledge you get the more sure you can be of your opinion ( which unfortunately all you can get is an opinion)

Others came away from the meeting convinced the Ricoh is off the agenda I came away certain it is the only target.

So yes I applaud them for engaging I have given them enough flack for not talking.

Yes it changed quite a few perceptions about them. For example TF knows a lot more about football than I would have gave him credit for. Joy is far better at public speaking than I would have imagined.

Said this in the other thread but excellent work Dongo. Fans really can influence how this mess moves forwards and you might have to deal with the odd 'Sisu-puppet' dig but JS et al will listen to fans who are reasonable but can press a point.

I really think everything is up for grabs be it new stadium or Ricoh. Ultimately, there are going to have to be negotiations to get us back to the Ricoh with every option under discussion.

Can't argue with that, however your last point on Joy's ability at public speaking should give reason for anybody to be sceptical of what she says. Fisher probably does have a keen interest in football given that he goes to most games despite being an obvious target, however that makes his support of these actions all the more bizarre. He knows how much damage this nonsense is causing but sticks to the party line.

Does that not also apply to those on ACL/Higgs/CCC's side? If they're good at public speaking we should be skeptical about what they say?

Everybody should be judged by their actions so of course it applies to the other side. It's all too easy to be won over by somebody who says the right things and sounds convincing. For instance I'm sure Fisher could be a fine person to talk football with but he's also overseeing the dismantling of the team and alienation of the fanbase.

So let me get this straight. If I want to meet JS. I need to get in touch with the club and ask for a meeting?

Wow. The 'meetings union' must be up in arms........

I think you'd have to promise not to go armed. :p

SISU puppet? Don't be silly. Anyone saying so would show that they haven't got a clue on what is going on. Look at his post above your own one. One of the best posts I have seen on here for a long time. Plenty of reasoning that tells the story of what is going on. There is no sense in what they are doing. There is no sense in what they say they are going to do. And they can't make sense of why they won't negotiate. And Dongo has hit the nail on the head on why this is so.

There are a fair few of us agree with you that they will be best trying to negotiate a return to the Ricoh. And until they do our club will stay in a mess. It looks like Labo is now playing games with the FL. It went from saying that there could be a problem with making the 590k payment on time because of the banking system to now saying they don't know if they have to pay. Anyone taking everything seriously would have paid as agreed and then got a rebate if they had overpaid. Just like they got a rebate at the start of the year. But there is a reason for this. The same reason pointed out by Dongo. And we all know that it could put our club in more trouble with the FL. When is this nonsense going to end?

As Dongo said they should try negotiating. So far it has been shown that the problem of negotiations have been because of SISU. This has lost them a lot of support. If they want the support of the majority of us they need to negotiate and if it fails let it be shown that they tried and that it was CCC/ACL that have been unreasonable. So far this has not been the case.

ML reckons the banking system could be a problem? What's wrong with paying it EARLY you pirate? I bet you don't wait until you've been charged interest before clearing your barclaycard.

Surely if anyone has a case for a rebate once sisu have paid it would be MM & GR?
