I bought a raspberry pi but didn't really see the point of it other than its a cheap Linux box.
Perhaps that's indeed the point of it!
Want to learn to automate tasks better using python and Excel macros, say myself paying a human to do it which will end up being wrong!

Been working on my Spanish and Swedish most days on Duoling app. Definitely seen an improvement.
Also decided to start eating better this week but the energy to use the gym I made in the garden is slipping.
Any reason you are learning Swedish?
I've been trying to learn Dutch for the past thirty-something years and still only recognise the odd word or two!
What about a supplementary career .Completed traffic lights. Daughter has now lost interest.
I don't blame herCompleted traffic lights. Daughter has now lost interest.
Yes but this is more about recognising words with the keywords and then categorising them. It saves hours and hours rather than going through and doing them manually. The user intent is also very interestingSo you need to scan the page to decide what category the product should be in?
Now have the PlayStation controller playing random fart noises. Coding lesson done for the day.I don't blame her
But I really just want to get back to producing a set of numbers and talk a load of bollox about them to people who pretend they are interested.
DataCamp is good from a DataScience Perspective. Learn Python the hard way is a classic. There’s loads of good python resources though.
R is the most horrible language I’ve ever experienced. You can tell it was written by non programmers.
And typically we've decided on R.I've started an online course on Codecademy, and whilst it's early days, it seems fairly intuitive so far
Open University are offering a free course in FInanial Management in partnership with Money Saving Expert (Martin Lewis)

Only 12 hours so most should be able to compelte within a few weeks.
If not for yourself then those with teenage children would definitely benefit; they don't teach this in school!
They do teach this in school. It’s in the Maths curriculum, the PSHE curriculum and every school I ever taught at had at least one collapsed timetable day dedicated to it.
Get so sick of that phrase. The fact is teaching it in school doesn’t work because 14 year olds don’t have any real world experience of why it’s important. Same with political education. School isn’t intended or suited to teaching every single life skill on the planet but it sure as hell tries.

(I’ll check our the course it looks good)
That looks really good.
It looks the same as a 3D printer but obviously cuts.
Does it work off STL files?
That's a good question. I've just go it out of the box. I am hoping files are transferable to other machines etc
I will find out whilst setting up and message the thread.
Next up is a 2000c induction furnace.
IF its anything like a 3d Printer you will need a software which turns your design into a file the printer understandsFull of thousands of commands!
Has it got an SD slot or something where you would put the code / designs?I'm using YouTube as my go to guide, they say to chuck the software away and go for something else which is easier to use.

I am running virtual windows on my Mac to get around all this madness and just USB into it.
All the main stuff will be kept on the Mac. Easily transferable between machines.
Ah, Parallels?
