Friday evening I'll know

Rumor is,

Coventry City will have captain Ben Sheaf and midfielder Jack Rudoni back to face Sheffield United in the Championship on Friday night but Josh Eccles will miss the game at Bramall Lane.

Sheaf returns after being out injured for the past two games while Rudoni has missed three matches having dislocated his shoulder in the 3-2 win at Oxford at the start of this month.

"Rudy and Sheafy should both be in the squad to travel so that's good but we understand it's a tough game we're going into," Coventry head coach Frank Lampard told BBC CWR.

Lampard revealed midfielder Josh Eccles picked up an injury before the international break and will not feature against Sheffield United but the City boss did not disclose the nature of the problem.

Coventry go into the game in fifth position in the Championship, two points inside the play-off places.

Edit: forgot to add the link, so you know I am ITK Coventry City: Ben Sheaf and Jack Rudoni return to face Sheff Utd

We need to have a plan to handle OHare and Hamer. They make The Blunts team tick according to their fans. Shame Eccles isn't fit to just man mark Hamer and not give him any time or space. Hamer created both their goals at CBS with delicious little through balls but under no pressure at all.
Grimes can deal with OHare.
Torp and Allen got to dominate midfield, if we are going to win. Big challenge will be intriguing game with different styles. I fear our away form might leave us a bit short and defensively can we cope with some very tricky forwards. Not worried about Keiffer Moore but Campbell and Diaz are very dangerous.

Hamer is great 90% of the time so we need to watch him.

As for O'Hare, he's great 20% of the time, so hopefully he'll have one of his many anonymous games.

This is one of those games where anything could happen.

OHare is much more subtle than that. He covers ground and keeps the ball moving with clever little touches and flicks as a creative no.10. That said he can easily be snuffed out and think Grimes is perfect for that. Frank won't underestimate Ohare and Hamer, and coaching team will have a plan. That Souza guy is also a pain in the arse, we gotta get in his face and wind him up as discipline not his strongest.
Bet Bassette is looking forward to his welcome. 🤣

They're not a possession based team, they'll try and win the ball from us high up and go from there, similar to their second goal at the CBS.
We've got to be careful with the ball and keep ourselves nice and compact.

I hope Frank spends all day making the team watch war films. Get them fucking fired up to unleash some damage on their players.

This will be a hard match, they're a good team, but let's go into this fighting for everything. Anything else on top of that is a bonus.

Hope to God we don’t play a high defensive line. We need to show a little respect to anyone with pace.
If we play like we did against Sunderland we could do this…..If play like we did against Derby then we regroup and look forward to the next game.

Same Squad again. Tough game away from home but hope but we seek to control the game and keep up with high crosses into the box.

Been reading their forum and can see a couple of their fans have said they’ve struggled to cope with crosses since the CB was injured which seems to suit us if true.

No that’s not true.

When at Uni in Nottingham in the 80’s there was a pub in Sheffield that sold draft bitter with 8% ABV - you had a certificate when you drank one that became a blurred certificate when you drank two.

It was disgusting though

Blimey he actually spoke nicely about us and didn't come across badly... genuinely surprised.
It’s all mind games, he knows our players will be up for it tonight after he publicly questioned their commitment after Robins was sacked so he’s trying to butter us up to quell the flames

You are making out him vs Da Silva is a horrendous matchup. I said he is overrated which he is.

Happy for you to point out where insinuated him vs JDS was a horrendous match up.

Someone said he's not very good...I simply pointed out he's actually got a decent record at this level and also has a decent goals:games ratio in the Premier League as well.
