We need to get the 3 points out of this one. But part of me is still concerned Robins will set up to not lose, as he's done in the last few games. Yes, we've stopped shipping goals that way but we've also stopped scoring as freely too. If we go 1 up front, I'd guess a 0-0 game. If he plays 2 strikers, we have a better chance of taking the points.

But my ability to predict anything, including a rain shower while it's raining, is so terrible, I'm plumping for Sheff Weds to end their frustrations with a 2-0 win.

Sheff Weds are lucky to be playing us atm because when teams are on their knees history dictates we are the ones that usually give them a leg up but hopefully with our semi depleted team we can scrape an ugly win

Resting one of our best midfielders doesn't really seem like an option right now when the midfield is already weakened.

Why was Derby a debacle? They are unbeaten in something like 6 games. They have a squad that cost many times ours. They were at home. It seems very unlikely that they will be down at the bottom for long. They are an experienced Championship team.
We didn't play well but still restricted them to very few chances, had chances to score ourselves, were competitive and ultimately didn't lose. Losing at home to Worcester was a debacle. I wouldn't say drawing away at Derby was.

Everyone is. If Goddens back were missing Kelly and Hamer and that’s about it to be honest. Wilson is playing well and we havent had Rose all season. And I’m not sure sitting off them without our defensive midfield is a wise idea.

This has resulted in some poor games, Blues. Luton, Derby for example. But it has also resulted in us picking up points from every game since the break, climbing to 18th and putting a reasonable points gap between us and the bottom three.
I want us to play good attacking football, I prefer playing two up front but I also think that, with everything surrounding this club, we desperately need to stay in this league. If that takes a few more 'debacles' like Derby, then so be it.

I don't think Rotherham or Wycombe were easy games, they were competitive against us and in almost all of their games this season.

I've just looked. Derby's last 6 results saw them draw at home to Wycombe, us and Stoke. Draw away at Brentford, win at Millwall and beat Swansea at home. So that is Stoke, Brentford, Millwall and Swansea, all teams above us either failing to beat or losing to Derby. I wonder if Stoke fans thought their draw was a debacle?

Wednesday have some off the field issues as well as on the field which I wasn't aware of. The players haven't been paid all of their salaries and the PFA have stepped in.

No one believes we're the worst team in the league. That's a complete exaggeration. They simply have an alternative view to yours.

The issue I have with your opinion is that you believe there are far more winnable games than there actually are - and the tone and language of your posts suggests you believe some games at this level are easy. Yet, the fact remains that the majority of teams within the Championship either have better, or far more experienced players than we do. Even if you look at Sheffield Wednesday's side - as depleted as it is - still contains players who have a recent history of being lethal at this level. I still fully expect it to be a difficult game. Yes, we should be looking to win it given the lack of confidence and toxicity that surrounds them at present, but it's by no means going to be an easy game. So, you're more than entitled to be upset by results such as that against Derby, but I fail to see why if after a drab draw you're up in arms. You've done it numerous times against Birmingham, Derby and Luton, yet when we were shipping over 2 goals a game during the first quarter of the season you were elated by the performances. The logic just doesn't register with me. Personally, I'd rather play poorly and pick up points rather than play well and come away with nothing.

If you genuinely don't believe that we're exceeding expectations this season then that's your prerogative. But, given this is our first season in the Championship for 8 years, and our squad is relatively young and with little to no experience at this level prior to this season with exception to a few, expectations should be adapted accordingly in my opinion.

This kind of straw man argument is what really annoys me about this place sometimes. Nobody was delighted at us shipping goals people just disagreed on what the reasons were. And part will be that our run of games after the break was considerably gentler than the one before it. Part will be our defence adapting to the level and making fewer glaring errors, and our handling of set pieces is also much improved.

Which if you read some of the posts from that time, is what people felt we had to work on the most to cut the goals out. We beat a flying Reading playing the ‘reckless’ way and lost the two after that because of daft penalty giveaways and soft set piece goals. When we tear up Rotherham playing like that and basically win 3-0 the ‘clueless negative’ brigade go to pretending their car was broken

One guy was comparing his wife, who is a nurse, working long shifts with no breaks at the moment saying how she has the right to say she is worn out, not highly paid footballers who run around for 90 mins twice a week. I think he totally misses the point. While I understand and agree with what he is saying about his wife, I think he completely lacks understanding about footballers. The physical and mental demands on footballers playing Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday are huge. When Robins says his players are on their knees, it's because they are (literally in the case of O'Hare on Wednesday). Same for all teams, although it seems some, like Huddersfield, have the ability to rotate their squad more.
We then had Pete from Styvechale who was a very angry man that Robins only played one up front. According to him we would definitely have beaten Huddersfield if we had played two strikers. We are unbeaten in eight or nine, have stopped shipping goals, climbed the table but for some, this isn't enough.
