I see their chairman has had a bit of a rant about their fans:

Sure there was another chairman who had some kind of 'club statement' meltdown a couple of years back too.

How do some owners think this kind of thing helps?

Tough to please fans the Wednesday lot, big club imo bigger than Sheff United with big expectations and Blades doing well doesn’t help.

Supposed to be demonstrating at tonight’s game against Sunderland.

They've not been in the top flight for 23 years, they are fairly equally matched with United historically albeit have won the first division more times. I'd say their fans have been pretty patient as they yo-yo between the second and third tier.

Scunthorpe are a bit of a poster child for criminal ownership at the moment too

It’s obviously not going to help things but without knowing what’s going on there in any detail there’s not really a lot in that statement that’s wrong is there?

says fans have repeatedly gone after his family which is completely out of order. Says they are not doing well financially but despite repeated requests to behave fans are throwing things on the pitch, pitch invasions etc that cost the club money.

sounds like he’s had enough tbh, saying he’s held forums and explained the situation but the fans don’t back the club in ticket and merch sales, just ask for everything to be cheaper while also asking for a bigger player budget.

story of every club really, we all want someone who is happy to chuck a load of money in and just walk away writing it off if things don’t work out. Problem is it’s hard to compete without an owner that will do that

The timing of it is utterly bewildering, on the morning fans are planning a protest against your ownership live on Sky

If I was Sunak as soon as I got to the second paragraph and read the American spelling of 'emphasized' that letter would be straight in the bin.

I’m not surprised if merchandise sales aren’t going well. £65 for an adult shirt.

Looked like the Sunderland player went down a bit easy for the penalty!
