Great, prob there or there about with the average ratio of the team then, and nothing specifically down to him? Which, again, was the overall point I was making

If you agree Shipley’s run in the team is the reason for upturn in results that’s fair enough. And I stand to be corrected if wrong

I think he has done very well on the left and certainly does help strengthen that side and help protect whoever is at left back.

This is the fourth time now you’ve had a ‘pop’ at Jason Farndon. I’m guessing you’ve had a run in with him or have heard things about his methods which you don’t like? Not too sure.

Bayliss didn’t have excellent raw talent at all. At 16 he was nearly not given a scholar by the club. He wasn’t one of the best in his age group. Being in full time improved his game massively.

Another thing I’ll say is that every player who has moved on from the club to bigger and better things has praised Farndon (amongst others) for helping them to develop
I was wondering whether he was referring to others as he's suggested a bit of turnover in this area?

We’ve had 2 U23 coaches in the last 2 years - Eaden and Farndon. One left for a first team role and the other a promotion from within

2 U18 coaches - Farndon and Crabtree

Really, ok well here’s another stat, he started none of the first sevens games we won, but played in pretty all but one of the games we lost during our dip... we can pick apart the specifics of which games he did or didn’t play a part in of the ones we won or lost as a team of 11, but my point stands... I don’t agree that it was his inclusion in the side that had an affect on our recent turnaround... which as I’ve said , is the main point i was trying to make, aga Nat he comment of another poster

his effect in all the others is prob about neutral . Yeah u might argue that we won a couple more , I might say so what it wasn’t him that made th difference... it was mcnulty, Doyle coming back or JCH signing

By all means argue that he was the one that had the effect though if that’s what you think. I disagree

Reid should start on Monday as it’s a home game, Shipley should be on the bench in case we need to shure things up. I think Haynes should sit this one out too, if Reid plays we don’t need a marording left back.

Nope, clearly Robins uses Shipley to wear down the opposing full back and also protect the defence better & replaces him with a fresh Reid later on as a tactic. Its been working so far I see no need to change.

Unless of course he is carrying a knock. If he's fit, keep him in.

There is always the option to drop Vincenti and put Reid wide right. Done it a few times with left footed players this season.

I don’t think it was because Shipley was missing, I would rather see Shipley at left back than Haynes

He helps cover several areas including left defence and crucially midfield. With Doyle labouring Reid just poor at most things and Vincenti on the pitch we missed his industry.

Badly missed Shipley today , Reid and Vincenti on the pitch together is a no no , either one of them but Shipley must start as he cover Haynes .

I feel this is a big reason why we lost today in the manner we did

Definitely worth considering playing Shipley at left back. I'm sure it is a position he has played before in his career.
