Hi all just wondering if someone can help me out.

I purchased a Microsoft surface today from John Lewis. When I spoke to the sales girl I specifically asked would I be able to download games like football manager for it and she said yes it would run everything that Windows 7 does.

However after I started it up I found out the only things downloadable is the meagre selection from the windows store.

Now if clothes don't fit places happily give a refund, is it the same for technology?

Yeah it's Martin Lewis. Hes got a site but can't be bothered to look it up.

Sounds like they got the models confused, Surface RT is the basic one that only allows applications added through the Microsoft Store, Surface Pro however functions like a proper computer with Desktop mode, etc.

Print this off when you return and tell them you were given the wrong advice:

Take it back asap and say you were mis sold and buy the proper one online and probably cheaper too!
