Just saw Wilfried zaha on football league show and he scored 2 goals and hes been playing decent for an 18 year old do you think we should bring 1 of our youth strikers through for a couple of games shaun jeffers or callum wilson cant be worse than ROD?????

Jeffers looked ok in pre season, but I'm sure if he or wilson were good enough then andy would have gave them a first team space, like gael and cyrus have been given.
Give them time as jeffers has been on the bench for years maybe he has the talent but can't come through as there has been better strikers in place.

Another youth player would certainly increase the attendance as we'll have Gary Glitter and Jonathan King buying season tickets.

Promoting youth is a great idea and I always like to see it happen but I think that given our situation this season it could be dangerous. I appreciate that Gael and Cyrus have done well but ideally they should be integrated slowly and carefully: a couple of last 10 mins sub appearances here and there first slowly building up. We have low squad numbers and they'll probably get their opportunity this season but we really need to sign established players (bloomin' hard with no funds).

We actually have 2 lads scoring regular in the youngsters, but strikers get knocked about a lot in this league, and they need to finish growing before they let some hairy centre-half on them.

i was impressed with callum wilson more than shaun jeffers but neither are any where near ready, jeffers went on loan to Cheltenham last year and scored 1 in 22 so he is definatly not read just yet

Johnson Clarke-Harris has been playing welll for the Academy team but has only just turned 17. He is quite quick, with good control and a terrific shot. He is already fairly tall but needs to improve his heading. He scored a few last season and has been on fire so far this year. It is maybe too soon for him but I would still prefer to see him in place of ROD!

Wilson nowhere near good enough to be near the first team at the moment IMO.

What's with all the ROD hating, sure he isn't the most skilled player but he gives his all every game and that's all we can ask for in our current situation. I find it hard to criticise players who work hard for the team and he doesn't do much wrong.
