Part of the issue we have now in my opinion - we didn't address the glaring issues that were there when we were on that winning run.
Exactly, it was as if everything was perfect and you couldn't mention it.

I agree with all of that. A Bayliss-Kelly-Doyle-Thomas has been the obvious choice for a couple of weeks now. Last Saturday Allessani did more than enough to warrant a longer sub appearanceI would drop shipley stick doyle and kelly in the middle and Bayliss and Thomas out wide...Bayliss out wide is not the best option but a damn sight better than Shipley out there then bring Allesani on later

Bayliss shouldn't be undroppable.
yup i remember @Esoterica and others reacting angrily to me being unhappy about nearly throwing away bradford resultExactly, it was as if everything was perfect and you couldn't mention it.

I give you one credit...you know more about fuck all than anybody elseyup i remember @Esoterica and others reacting angrily to me being unhappy about nearly throwing away bradford result
when will people just realise i know more about football than anyone else?
Some on here say he didn't play in the Luton game and we lost thatHow have we got on this year when he hasn't played?
bayliss isnt our problem imo. last thing we need is few players that are creative being dropped.
might be time to call time on shipley experiment though
That might be a factor but he looked good against Walsall 1st half (his final ball was still off though) and the big difference there was where we were getting him on the ball. That for me has been the biggest issue with him this year - he tends to get the ball 10 yards inside his own half, with not a lot to aim at, when he should be receiving it top of the centre circle. As soon as he gets the ball deep, teams drop back to the top of their box and let him run out of steam. He’s desperate for a rest, I honestly believe that’s the real reason for his poor performances this year.
He’s played a unbelievable amount of football for a 1st full 12 months in the pro game, he barely had a few weeks off this summer too with his England call up.

Starting to drive me nuts. We're setting up defensively, still leaking goals, while at the expense of not maximising the potential of any of our creative players, of which the only one who has looked decent is Thomas due to his electric pace. So bored of Robins' reliance (pun not intended!) on an individual's skill to try and win a game of football. JJ, Nazon for a bit, then Bayliss last year, McNulty when he hit form, Thomas this year. It's so one dimensional - the only time we've consistently played decent team football is the last 8 games of last season when we absolutely had to win games.
Agree there mate he’s not league 1 level yet.bayliss isnt our problem imo. last thing we need is few players that are creative being dropped.

I hope he goes 4-4-2 and chooses what he thinks is his best team then sticks with it for a few weeks to let them settle. It seems like he's choosing the team and formation from a tombola.
We need someone who can concentrate and cover Brown when he ventures up the field! Hiwula and Shipley do but they lose concentration and mainly in the last 20 minutes they cannot be arsed!Only thing is who is played down the Left?
Allisanni is due a chance but haven't seen enough of him to know how he would do as a starter there.
Sorry chaps, been to 8 away games this season and seen us pick up 1 point (the drab 0-0 with AFC Wimbledon), unfortunately going again tomorrow so I wouldn't be getting your hopes up.

I just don't think it works when he tries to go so defensive like that.
He plays to invite pressure which worked more in League 2 because the quality wasn't as good. In League 1 we will (and do) get punished.
Now Kelly has got a couple of games under his belt I think we have to go with the Doyle, Kelly & Bayliss combination in midfield that finished last season so well. Not sure they have started a game together yet this season.
Is that with Bayliss on the right?
Think it's worth a go, if Bayliss goes on a mad run it doesn't leave us as open. Can then put Thomas on the left.
He might do ok on the left, would just depend how he would cover brown when he gets forward.Yes opposite wing to Thomas - I guess Bayliss would be more comfortable on the right.
It's good to be reminded of that "fact" at every opportunity. Thanks.yup i remember @Esoterica and others reacting angrily to me being unhappy about nearly throwing away bradford result

i would give Thomas a break and bring him on as a second half sub if required! he has looked jaded as of late! short sharp shock might focus him a bitIs that with Bayliss on the right?
