Why is Gilbert on Twitter jumping around against me with Ginetta as his buddy to try and prove wasps can be liable for £27 million but can’t show evidence?

He says he has a statement from the EU commission but he hasn’t shown it

It is down to the EC* to determine what the level of illegal State Aid is judged as. Until they make their decision, the notion that it will be £27m or tuppence-ha'penny is simply gossip.
It isn't what they paid for it, it's what they DIDN'T!

*assuming we stay within their jurisdiction after Brexit

Fook me, don't give him any credence or publicity Grendel (which in turn is what I've probably added too with this post), he'll be wanking over this sort of thing on here.

The thing that seems to be repeatedly missed is that for anyone to be fined, and irrespective of what mechanism is or isn't in place to recover those fines, wrongdoing has to be found.

Who in their right mind will argue that if the council and / or Wasps are found to be in the wrong it should be CCFC, an innocent third party, who should pay the fine? What next, Wasps coach gets a touchline ban and Robins has to serve it?

Does that mean that is how much Wasps think they got off the value when they bought it? If so it looks like it was a half price sale

The European Commission (not EU Commission as tweeted by Legohead) doesn't have powers to enforce repayment on CCC. They pass it down to the national courts to do it. I'm sure this was made clear when news of the complaint first arose.

True, but from the article that was linked, it looks like the national courts are obliged to execute the decision made by the EC. And the repayment would be down to the party that benefitted (Wasps), as well as payment to third parties who have been damaged financially (CCFC).
