SISU And Litigation (1 Viewer)

SISU's propensity for litigation is, perhaps, more understandable in the light of one of their investments. The following is a quote from The Lawyer in January 2008:

"What do Coventry FC and a litigation funder have in common? Not much, other than they are both benefiting from the largesse of a hedge fund with an eye for canny investments, Sisu Capital.

Sisu was just one investor clamouring to get its hands on shares of Juridica, the first specialist litigation fund to float in the UK. Third-party litigation funders are a burgeoning class. There are plenty in operation that have chosen not to go public."

It does tend to point at SISU's investment strategy being as much about the success of its lawyers as about the success of its entrepreneurs.

The litigation fund appears to have fared better from SISU's "largesse" than CCFC in the intervening years. However, purely as an investment, it hasn't been a roaring success and SISU have cut their holding to a fraction of what it was at the float.

SISU pick money up wherever they can, short and long term. Multi facets and not transparent.
