I fear you are right. The owners have taken us away from the city, resulting in abysmal attendances and alienating the majority of the fans. Whatever anyone may think, that is a complete disaster for the long term prospects of the club's survival. Their tactics have been beyond insane.

Were we playing at the Ricoh, under any arrangements, we would be in the top 6 playing in front of 15000+. If that were the case, Leon Clarke would not have wanted away. But who can blame him wanting away from this basket-case club? And is it any wonder Pressley can't attract new blood to this madhouse?

I genuinely feel sorry for Pressley, but he won't stick it out for long. Like with Clarke, who could blame him if he decided in the summer that he couldn't resist a better offer when it comes in - as it surely will. People can bicker over the finer points of who is to blame, but meanwhile the club is going down the toilet fast.

We tried to get a player in about a week ago. He wouldn't sign for us because we wouldn't give him a long enough contract. He went elsewhere on an 18 month contract.

And the worse thing is it won't get better in a hurry. It will get worse the longer we are in Northampton. Who is looking forward to the FFP rules for next season? No wonder they couldn't offer a contract as long as 18 months for a player SP wanted. And then some wonder why he can't get players through the door. And I can see our home gates going down even further. How many will carry on with a round trip of 70 miles or more for 'home' games when our squad will be left with the crumbs that no other football club wants that are at the same level as us.

Why is anyone surprised that we play a 16 year old kid and a midfielder, then a right back as our strikers?
We all know Sisu tell lies. There is no pot of gold at the end of their rainbow.
Anyone who gives them any support or credit wants locking up.
It will get worse. I would imagine Conor, Franck, John Fleck, Cyrus, pretty well all the squad would be looking to get away from here. As a few posters have said - we are a basket case of a club.
Elvis will go. I wouldn't blame him. He's performed a minor miracle.
Someone said on another thread, us fans have to up the protest. Are we all prepared to have a second season in Northampton?

If you want your club back don't go to Sixfields.

Sisu are on the ropes here. They have backed themselves into a corner which they now can't get out of. Their plan has gone badly wrong, they under estimated the strength of other parties and the feelings of the fans.

Starving them of income by a boycott of sixfields is irrelevant as they are losing so much already .

The only way out of this for them is a Ricoh return and they know it.

A complete boycott of sixfields may force this so it's got to be worth a try due to the publicity it would receive and FA / league would have to get involved.

Time to turn the screw.

They can gift the club money. They will not lose out as they are charging the club 2.5m a year in mismanagement fees and 1.2m interest payments. And once they take us back to Coventry they will be in profit with the skeleton squad we will have to get used to.

Ok I'll bite since you seem to go on about it like a broken record. Where did this £2.5m in management fees (I'm not childish enough to say mismanagement) and £1.2m in interest come from. I hope this is fact and not some figure you've calculated, or a historical figure from way back when the likes of Orange Ken were trying to run the club.

That is a nice little summary of this season. I agree Pressley has worked wonders and the players have performed beyond expectation.

However when some were getting carried away with it all in November and thinking we were the best team in the division, when we weren't. There was also numerous people saying we still needed to add three or four players to maintain the progress and have a chance of the play offs.

I think Pressley and others are working hard to achieve that. But I think two things are working against him. One is our off field situation is not attractive to many. Secondly the budget seems extremely limited. The second point does not help erode the fears around point one.

I also feel sorry for Pressley. Fans need to give him at least two more seasons to build slowly. I don't think we have been unlucky? One serious injury to one player Wilson? One unhappy player Clarke? A normal season if you ask me.

He quotes those numbers from the last actual accounts CCFC/SISU/Otium filed.

I'm sure the numbers have changed since Orange Ken but these have yet to make it to companies house.

@ cochese....I know! amazing isn't it. Why would SISU change the habit of a lifetime, Leopards, spots, and all that? The only way to have...(Or at least try to have) a good football team is to invest in players. This doesn't mean wait till the last 2 days of the window to see what s**t is left for SP to try and perform miracles with, after other teams who actually want to gain promotion have "Bought" This isn't going to heal itself buddy. We need to be playing in the top flight to be making decent money. The owners can't use the football club as "Chips" like in a casino, hoping to trust to luck, on the "Turn of a card" or "Spin of the wheel"...SISU want to spend pennies on a 4th rate footballer, and in return expect Lionel Messi performances. Finally, you're not a masochist by any chance are you? The reason I ask is, along with a few others on this forum, you seem to make extraordinary excuses for owners that have persistently shafted the fans, and people of Coventry on a daily basis for 7 years......Watch out pal. Brace yourself. Here they come again!

You do know how we got into this mess in the first place don't you? Before SISU. Yes, there were owners before SISU. Owners spending beyond our means.

Have they saved money and or increased revenue by moving to Northampton?

I know Fisher says they were forced out, but I don't remember them being served with eviction notices do you?

The last time they showed the accounts was in 2011. It was all there for everyone to see. You won't see any more recent after that as liquidation of CCFC LTD means they won't have to publish them. So this means we won't see how much they have charged for the last 2 years. Then we still have some saying our club is in the shit because we were being charged 1.2m rent when SISU charged us 3.7m on last published accounts.

Or do you think that our debts jumped so high for another reason? They said at worse we were losing 0.5m a month. That stopped ages ago. But if it was from day 1 until now it would be 36m.

FFP can be bypassed if they gift money to the club. All they do is give loans and charges though.

And I bet none of the ones that blame CCC or our past owners for what is going on currently like mentioning or thinking about the 3.7m charges they have put on our club.....and the charges could well be more now. As more money is owed to them I can see the interest charges being higher. And the mismanagement fees were going up each year as well. Yet some still blame it all on the rent :facepalm:

If we hadnt had been in such a mess we would never have needed to sell to a Hedge Fund.

How can't you use Dagnell as an example, Pressley only saw him as a stop gap for this season, why give him a longer contract to then have to go through the hassle of offloading him next season?

I imagine with the likes of Clarke, baker and murphy our wage bill is still In the top half.
