ACL actually out the club into administration
Technically, they didn't. SISU put the club into administration

ACL wanted too though and SISU did it instead to try and control their own destiny?Technically, they didn't. SISU put the club into administration
Or anyones for that matter. Uncritical acceptance of any of the parties position is simply naive. It's manipulation in SISU's statement, it's nothing we didn't know at the time. SISU *did* stop paying the rent, ACL had to go wherever their backups were, and once they were exhausted, they then had to try and recover by other means.
It's a fine example, in fact, why it would be wise not to take SISU's statement at face value.
Still a few forum "big beasts" who for some reason are shy about posting on this thread. Not so slow on other similar threads...
Good post but must admit its first timw ive seen you go against council. So sisu leaked emails have workedI assume I am one that you are referring to. Been extremely busy and pressured at work so not great mystery or conspiracy. Still am so this will be quite short.
My take on the statement is
- I am annoyed to find out that Wasps were going to be parachuted in by CCC. I can see the financial expediency to make the stadium work but it is morally and politically wrong to choose an outsider over supporting CRFC. It is CRFC i feel sorry for in that respect, not SISU.
- strangely had it happened then we might actually be at a stage where SISU owned Wasps via owning the stadium
- the statement itself is just like the last one well written but just like the last one only SISU's view of history. You would of course expect it to be. It is their truth not the whole truth
- the emails themselves well yes damning but were SISU legally entitled to release them? I assume they were part of discovery in the court cases, court cases that SISU did not actually appear as plaintiff. Still they put a new light on things. But why not before? Not sure they reveal anything illegal but thats not the point it was actions that should not have happened in 2012 to the detriment of CRFC
- The Courts (not just one ) defined it as a rent strike. It was. The Escrow account was there to support ACL and CCFC if the club became unable to pay the rent not if the club chose not to. The deposit was a contractual obligation to be maintained at the agreed amount. Thats the legal mechanics of it.
- the heads of terms signed the same month it has been proven that SISU and the Charity went their separate ways as far as doing a deal went. As SISU could not acquire those shares the deal with CCC could not happen
- Why is what a judge concluded is important - because unlike us he/they will have seen all these documents and more. The full story
- ACL did not put CCFC ltd in to administration, and i have explained the process many times i am not going to explain it again.
- The council has been a problem from the very start. Short sighted, egotistical, less than transparent. But that isnt the first time i have pointed ot CCC short comings
- Time for all sides to put up or shut up, personally i am sick to the back teeth of the doubling talk, lying, obstruction, underhand dealing on all sides. All as bad as each other
-
I am pleased to see some clarity as to potential site revealed today, but will wait to see where that gets us
That's your lot from me.

A great post but I don’t understand one thing-you keep saying bad for CRFC but not SISU.
Isn’t the WASPS deal also extremely detrimental to CCFC? And as SISU ultimately own CCFC surely it’s bad for them too?
No getting around the selling of the ground, built by and for CCFC, is definitely detrimental to CCFC and by default SISU.
I would also suggest that out of the two organisations the WASPS deal has been tougher for CCFC than for CRFC.
Maybe time to side on CCFC begrudgingly on occasion?

Unlike most people here I have met and discussed matters with Fisher and Seppala. I am not in awe of them, I am not impressed by them and I do not trust them. I have a good handle on the financial realities. Not about to cut the owners any slack until they give me good reason to. So far they haven't.

If this place becomes any more balanced I might start posting more often.
But then people might also think I'm a Council stooge. Which I'm not. Or am i!!! (I'm not)
In the same way that many fans became disenfranchised with our club over recent years, I had felt distanced from a lot of fans because I refused to solely blame SISU for this mess. It seemed that up until now that fans couldn't question anyone apart from SISU without being called "Pro SISU". The clubs still a mess but at least we are starting to get a clearer picture of what has been going on. All we need now is a solution.
Good post Rob - see you at Pompey (you can buy me a pint for the like!)I guess it means it’s safe for me to delurk and comment a bit more then too
It’s been interesting to hear that Cossy – the bloke who set up the Get Cov Back to the Ricoh campaign – has been receiving apologies from people who were slagging him off for wanting the council & others to take responsibility for our plight along with SISU a few years ago.
Also good to see that my old mate Les Reid has been vindicated in a few more people’s eyes. No matter what people think of him, he’s always been the person who has the most knowledge of how this whole sorry mess has been blundering on.
Unfortunately, it’s easier to get people to hate a single enemy rather than a range of protagonists with varying levels of responsibility. The council & ACL’s very expensive PR people know that and SISU used their legal model rather than a PR approach.
I wonder what the summer will bring?

Why did Reid sit on an email for years?
He still has a perchant for blocking anyone on twitter who is in any way critical of him, his replies are like a fan club.
SISU decided to release the email not Reid, it's not down to him that it hasn't been made public. He may have had knowledge of it without being given the go ahead to release it.
Why didn't SISU release it then? It changes peoples attitudes a great deal.SISU decided to release the email not Reid, it's not down to him that it hasn't been made public. He may have had knowledge of it without being given the go ahead to release it.

Also I have always been critical of Reid because of the way his writing paints such an extreme picture. It smacks of a fanatical attitude.
Who would give him that "go ahead" ?
All shrouded in mystery.SISU though we don't know when they got hold of the email do we? Massive assumptions are made that it was part of the evidence pack for JR1.
SISU not used PR? really?
Anyone?Do we know SISU had been "sitting on" the 2012 email or has it been leaked to them only recently?
I know SISU are incompetent but doesn't anyone really believe their legal team have had this email for years and its never got a mention in court?Anyone?

Aslo Reid took CET to tribunal about pro CCC bias in their reports for which he presumably had evidence. We don't know I guess. But you're saying SISU control what and when Les releases anything? So much for an investigative reporter eh?
