So ACL & The council are now allowed to play God with the football club? What would you define as competent owners? People who are willing to waste a fortune on the club and then go quietly once their money runs out?
What are we supposed to believe ?
one week TF tells us they will build a new stadium the next we will go into liquidation !!!
Tell me anyone how can we believe anything they say ?
Why should the club not benefit from all revenue generated by their own supporters? Anyone looking to buy the club would expect the same as well.
The anti-sisu sentiment is so strong amongst our supporters that they are against what is best for their football club. Bizarre.
ACL can do as they wish with the Ricoh Arena, it is their asset. CCFC is Sisu's responsibilty yet you seem to forget that.
Sisu have already wasted £45m on the club, would you class that as competent?
The simple answer is because the club sold those rights when they sold their half of ACL for £6.5m - they could always buy back those rights?

What is the figure to buy these back again, please remind me?
Facts are ACL have offered CCFC around £250k in revenue (£100k f&b profits and £150k car parking) and also offered to cross invoice the f&b turnover (£1m) for FFP purposes for CCFC so they would be receiving significant revenue for their £400k rent - oh and a Premier League standard ground as well.
Maybe when we have competent owners they will be trusted with revenue streams.
What has it been wasted on? How many other owner's of football club have poured money into a club and seen no return on it. Poor decisions, including hiring Ray Ranson to run the club have proved a disaster, as well poor choices of managers including Coleman (who spent a lot of money in comparison to recent managers) & Andy Thorn.
I would say taking a mid table championship club, investing £45m into it, and the end result that club being a mid table league 1 club is a disaster by anyones standards.
You could have put an ordinary person off the street at the helm over the last few years and they wouldn't have done as much damage as these clowns.
Only in Coventry would you ever find this attitude, other club's supporters are so passionate about their club there would be uproar to protect the interest's of the club.
Who is they? Tim Fisher?
As supporters we should want what is best for the football club, and that is a fair amount of rent to be paid, as well as all revenue generated by our fans. Any other investor looking to buy the club would want the same. It doesn't make sense for people to support the club being denied these and being anti-sisu. The club would look much more attractive to a buyer if we were to get these. I am sure sisu would love to get out, but until they can make the club more attractive to a buyer then that is not going to happen and it will prolong their stay.

The mentality of some is completely twisted, it's almost as if they think ACL are doing the football club a favour. You think this is a good deal? Even if you accept the figures you quote, it still represents a net contribution of 150K per year for a 3rd division football club.
The arrogance of ACL is astounding when you consider the extent to which their business benefits from the football club. The Ricoh naming rights deal would have been worthless without the football club, and yet ACL have benefitted from that to the tune of millions, not to mention the compass catering deal, years of excessive rent charges, parking revenues and increased leverage when negotiating deals with the hotel and casino operators.
ACL have been riding the gravy train for years, to the point where the football clubs has been crippled, and yet they have the audacity to then try and play the victim and make legal moves against the club. It is sickening, and the fact there are so many people willing to apologise for their stance is truly shocking.
Why should the council decide who is competent or not, are they god?
Just like when they banned any more strip clubs being opened in Coventry because they thought it was immoral.
And wasn't the figure 20 million to buy them back?
The best interests of the club rest with new owners who can run the club properly for the benefit of everyone connected with it.

Do you think Nottingham forest and Leicester city are well run?
I agree but Sisu have made such a pigs ear of negotiations and made howling tactical errors that have left them to be alienated by the only people that can give them or sell them what they need !!!
The only hope is for Sisu to sell on to someone that ACL, Counsel and Higgs can trust to be able to negotiate the revenues the club needs.
How were we a mid table Championship club when they came in? We had already been flirting with relegation for the previous couple of seasons.
I agree though, the decision to employ Ranson and Coleman was a disaster.
How were we a mid table Championship club when they came in? We had already had our flirts with relegation since we had been in the Championship. We finished 8th in one season under Adams, but we were hardly an established mid-table club. We were already on a slow decline.

Yes, but they may set about the negotiations in a nonconfrontational way! Not short sighted, just have an idea what is going on.I guarantee these mystical owners you speak of would push for a similar rent agreement CCFC have pushed for this season.
So many short-sighted people.
The club was 11th when they took over, seems mid table to me.

Because the Ricoh is part owned by the Council and is their responsibilty.
What has Coventry Council's licensing Authority committee got to do with this?
I thought £20M was to buy the Higgs 1/2 share of the stadium, which the club sold to them for £6.5M some years ago (Mind you I'm not sure where that figure comes from as I thought the Higgs/SISU negotiations were not public).
Anyway they are being given back the part of F&B that ACL has access to in the deal explained by Ashbyjan, the rest is tied up in a long term contract with Compass. Are you saying ACL should break that contract?
So you believe we were in a healthy position when sisu took over the club and were a strong mid-table team?
I haven't seen many people on here slating Ranson too much, a lot of the anti-sisu mob still revere him for some strange reason.
