I've had a couple about a Sky Blue Tavern investment opportunity but I just deleted them.

Its been like that for years hasn't it? Thought the club said a few years back the supporters clubs got an allocation of away tickets but this was not in excess of the number of season ticket holders they had as members.

Why do football fans throw around words like disgrace about something that happens in every form of entertainment. We're way past the point that football is the working mans game, we may not like it but people are going to have to accept it because there's zero chance of things going back to how they were years ago.

Come on it's a racket whether your income depends on it,or changes keep being introduced,to the conglomerate, it's fleecing pure and simple for me!

Supporters clubs have to commit to sponsorship of games and players etc so I eould assume the Tavern has to do the same. Certain bands of investment get different levels of tickets etc. I'm sure as principal partners Monzo etc would get an allocation that nobody has an issue with, so basically just on a smaller scale.

I really really don't agree with supporters clubs and now laughably pubs getting any kind of privileges in regards to away tickets .. that being said I've done this to death in the past and can't really be arsed to do it all again
Its clever from them tbh. People have complained there isn't a supporters club for people who actually live in the city. They've started one up and obv all the events will take place at the Tavern.

They already sponsor various things so I doubt its actually cost them as much as if me or you started up a supporters club and they'll make money over the bar on event night which will be nights that would normally quiet.

Is there any local area that isn't covered by a supporters club now? Guess the answer to the complaint is join your nearest one and then you don't have to worry about points.

I do still worry about points as we used to go on a coach and despite being season ticket holders, no record was kept as we never used to have points, which meant when this started we had less than others who had booked through the club. Now we're ok as I'm in the first bracket allocation with 1500 points, but we paid extra to join SouthamSC.

They only do approx one game per month, but really well run, book a pub away from the ground and they only accept a ticket against a season ticket and the points still get allocated. It's £25 ea to join but you then get invites to the player meetings 2-3 times per season.

It's mix and match therefore as we go with them for a day out as we did st Stoke and some drinks etc, but then the other night for Bristol as per pre-season, I drove and we organised our own tickets.

Because it is a disgrace, makes a mockery of the points system.

And it’s not about money because building up points is far more expensive than £20 a season.

You wait till read the supporters charter document

Reads like the supporters forums will soon be official clubs only

Do you not think banning all club sponsors from getting tickets would reduce sponsorship revenues?

I'm not sure it's the same thing, is it?

Of course sponsors will get tickets or even a box for the season but they are effectively reselling tickets to fans?

Leamington Supporters club be like

Won't bore you with all the details, but at the moment the Leamington/Warwick supporters club do not receive a single ticket from the club. The supporters that travel with the group (me included) only go if they have the relevant points and can get tickets like the rest of the fans. There may be future opportunity to get some tickets via sponsorship (club yet to notify us of ££££££s, but not cheap) but to be honest they would end up with people who have the points anyway, as these people travel to the away games and are ST holders. No foul, no harm. Just helps organisationally re: coaches/sitting with mates.

Disgusting.

Is it? It's a supporters club getting 100-150 tickets, unless someone tells me that shi*tloads of coaches go to each game from there. All will have season tickets.

Like someone else said, most on these coaches will probably have enough points each time anyway. Maybe don't overreact to things that really aren't that important.

It’s a piss take . I’ve got 1200 points but I’ve earned them even more so living and travelling more than most . But if you join “this club” you get tickets and probably most not all are with very little points but jump the queue .

Honestly mate. Not true. Like I said, we don't get tickets at the moment( and iirc sponsorship only gets you 30 tickets) We've probably already got that many members with over 1300 points, so can already get those tickets individually ( and do at the moment) It would just help people sit together and helps us organise coach travel in advance.

230 per season is 920 already. On top of that we got points for Wembley and home cup games so minimums 1000 really. You've amassed 200 points in 4 years. Nothing wrong with that at all as it's very expensive and we all have choices to make, but it's an average of 5 per season away assuming only 10 points so no midweek or cup. You're literally being outraged at something that doesn't affect you as you can get almost every game at 1200 points. This season you'll probably struggle at Luton away and that's it, but even then I've managed tickets the last few times we've played them without using a supporters club.

I’ve decided to join this scheme along with a few of my mates . For £20 my mates I sit with with just 400-500 point will be literally guaranteed tickets . Stuff the poor sods who have 800 points and more that aren’t members, they should have joined . If word gets out 22000 might sign up and you never know they might bring a point system in to make it fair 🤔 .

Craig mate, have you read my post? Nobody is getting tickets any differently than you do currently. We actually fork out extra to be a member of a supporters club, then meet up to travel to games, or don't if we don't have enough points. I've got about 1440 (a lot have a lot more than me, as they travel to every game) I had a ST at the Trillion, and when we weren't allowed to go (elite  :ROFLMAO: ) but that's not the point. The point is, we don't get tickets as a result of being a supporters club that help people beat the points system.

You do however get guaranteed tickets if you are in the qualifying category and not have to fight the others.

How so ? One of our members has to go on line and try and get them like everybody else does, as the 'bands' open.

the points system is ridiculous anyway, if you weren’t around at the start you can’t buy tickets to amass points because you don’t have enough points, so you never get to away games / cup games etc..

it should be done on first come first served when tickets are released otherwise it’s an elite club who always get to buy tickets before everybody else has a chance.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

The points system was introduced because everyone said it wasn't fair when it was how you describe it! Evenbthenni always saw the same faces away because they put the effort and miles in. Basically you're saying those who go all the time and have supported through the dark times should be on a level playing field and potentially miss out because you fancy a nice day somewhere. Err ok!

It's not ridiculous, it works well. Those who go most often get priority, which they should. I do 10-15 away games a season and I know I'll miss out on the small allocations like Luton, I'm also unwilling to spend a day travelling upto Sunderland or Middlesbrough for a game.

Plenty of midweek away games reached a very low points tally and even general sale last season, there's plenty of opportunity to go.

Can anyone remember what some of the Saturday games that have big allocations reached (Sheff Wed, etc) last season points wise was.

not me, I have enough points to get tickets in the main, and to be honest it’s not about who goes all the time as many people who have had season tickets for years will still not be able to get to away games if they want as a result of the points system

yes I completely believe it should be a case of everybody has as much chance to get a ticket as everybody else - that’s the only fair way to do it
