Sky Blues owners reject public meeting with MP (2 Viewers)

Higgs believed that they had a case and judging by the fact that the judge gave it the time of 2 days IIRC then they at least had an argument. How long did the counter claim get? Did it even make an hour. You're also conveniently ignoring the size of the counter claim meaning it HAD to go to crown court greatly increasing both parties costs. Again, given how quickly the counter claim was kicked out so quickly what effect could it have on Higgs other than costing them more money?

I'm not ignoring anything, but that's like saying that SISU must have had a point about the JR because of the amount of court time it received. SISU's actions were to get information. To suggest they were 'distressing' a local children's charity is nonsense.

I'm more suprised that no one thinks that 30K in fees on a deal that never happened is ludicrous... even more so for a charity.

So the stressing was caused as a by product of a search for the smoking gun that clearly doesn't exist. Oh that's OK then. You should have made that clearer sooner.

So your saying that if ACL had off gone bump Higgs would have been able to recover it's investment in full enabling it to invest this money into the numerous projects its involved in to help the people of Coventry and the wider area? I doubt that, so they were being stressed.

Peow.

It's worth whatever Higgs will accept for it.

You keep deflecting and confirming my original statement though.

You just said it was being distressed as it wasn't getting its full return back so I assumed you believed it to be worth that .

I'm not deflecting I am asking you what its worth - of you are saying what Higgs want I fail to see how the low bid was distressful - it's what they believed the value to be. Fact is you do t know its worth on the open market do you?

Well it's clear to everyone that the smoking gun didn't exist. It's not like we haven't discussed it....

Higgs was never in any position to be financially distressed by SISU's actions.

You just said it was being distressed as it WOULDN'T BE getting its full return back IN THE EVENT OF ACL GOING BUMP.

Peow peow peow

Just correct what you wanted to make out I'd said for what I'd actually said.

They clearly stand to loose financially if ACL go bump so any attempt to distress ACL is clearly going to distress Higgs as a direct consequence should that distressing have the desired effect by the party doing the distressing.

You can attempt to deflect and sugar coat it as much as you like. It says more about your moral compass than mine so knock yourself out.

I think the government has far more important things to deal with than football governance. Oh and the hypocrisy of moral football fans really is something. Face it fans care not about morals, financial stability only results. If results are right nothing else ever matters.

Superficially, you might accept that but dig a bit deeper and you realise that sport is about much more than winning.
Why else did Thierry Henri plaster Dublin with a poster saying "sorry"?

If only openness & honesty could be the order of the day, but I'm afraid that isn't the SISU way.

However even a behind closed door meeting with the interested MP's would be better than nothing..
I bet you're gutted everybody is more interested in football again now. I don't blame them. How many private companies would want a public forum with an MP in the real world?

Because they won and it made him sound nice. Didn't see the French fans complaining and demanding a review.

There are numerous examples of footballers not accepting the "win at all costs" mantra.
Of course, football, like life, isn't fair....and therefore, ultimately it isn't about winning but how you played that counts.
