Certainly seems that we have a lot more of an attacking outfit this year.

The goals being spread out as well.

With approx 1/5th of the season gone, Godden on target to hit 20 and Hiwula on target to beat his number last year

19/20
Godden 4
Hiwula 3
O'Hare 2
Westbrooke 2
Baka 1
Hyam 1
Jobello 1
Kastaneer 1
Rose 1
Shipley 1

18/19
Hiwula 13
Chaplin 8
Baka 7
Bright 6
JCH 5
Thomas 4
Bayliss 3
Shipley 3
Andreu 1
Doyle 1
Hyam 1
Jones 1
Willis 1

I have to confess, it's not everyday you hear the words 'Hiwula' and 'on target' in the same sentence.

I/5th of the season ? Being a pedantic bastid, 7 played out of a 44 game season equals between a 7th and an 8th.
But.... I buy into the feel good start to the season !

I think it's fair Otis to say that Hiwula did not have his shooting boots on at Oxford. And I agree he does go missing too frequently in games.

But I generally see him as a very good finisher. And on top of that his two assists last week-end were first class.

Just wondering how we are compared to at this time last season. Anyone know? Going by the above, we’ve scored 17 (I’m assuming those include the cups). How many had we scored at the same stage last season?

At this point last season we’d scored 5 in all comps.

We have played 10 games. Played 51 last season, approx 1/5th of the way through league and cup games

Andreu's was direct from a free kick. So only JCH's a proper goal from open play

Baka has played 117 minutes so far and managed 2 shots hmmmm O'Hare has played 55 minutes and managed 3 shots, Kastaneer 21 minutes with 4 shots admittedly 1 of those was a pass from midfield out for a corner ;)

Kastaneer is a strange player to me. From what I've seen so far I don't see him being a starter, barring a catalogue of injuries. He does however look like he can produce the unexpected, be it a shot hitting the corner flag or a screamer into the top corner with his weaker foot. I get the feeling he will carry on in that vein, more often than not disappointing, but nevertheless producing the odd moment of magic (hopefully when we need it most) when we least expect it.
