As ever they’ve shown their true colours - Gold and Black

Apply to be on the board then. You cannot change anything from the outside.

It would be better if more than one person did, unfortunately I could not commit to the time.

I'm a member of the Trust - I dare say quite a few of us here have also paid their quid to join. Many like myself live outside of Cov and find it difficult enough to get to games, never mind Turst meetings. So other than the get together in the pub, there doesn't seem to be a reliable platform to thrash out ideas and interact directly with the Trust board.

This forum, which has a very large and vocal membership, has that immediate interaction. Unfortunately, many of the opinions here are critical of, or question the direction of the Trust. However, we are all City fans, and our collective thoughts and wishes really could do with being taken seriously by those that influence CCFC.

The Trust, though, does have recognition with the paries involved and the media.

If the Trust TRUELY see themselves as representative of Coventry City supporters, they should consider a change to their constitution and have at least one rep from here on the board (or anywhere else where there is a large collection of sky blues fans). If it needs a rule change, I don't see how this could be a problem.

I get what Grendal is saying. The Trust need to have a space on the board who has been appointed BY this forum. We need to have control over their fate - otherwise they'll be voted off by the Trust members as soon as they say something to piss them off. There are enough sane people on here to know when someone has crossed the line, and "recall" them.

Do they have reps for other supporters groups? Would you want one for Twitter and Facebook as well? Not sure why you’d need to be protected by this place if you’re not being a dickhead.

And this place is certifiably batshit. It would be endless recall petitions. Anonymity + Internet = Dickheads. Always.

Close the thread. Bluff’s been called, clearly.

Nothing stopping you from putting yourself forward or any of your loyal supporters putting you forward you dim wit

Why bother if it’s joining the people’s republic of North Korea and you value democracy?

The trust are only interested in one thing - that is clear

You turn up I've said I'll propose you you get on and represent sky blue talk. However you don't want to go to a meeting do you, yes it's alright for a few to have met you but you do not want anymore to know what you look like.

Sounds somewhat threatening? Why what would happen to me?

Because in the real world he is a bottler all talk and hasn't got the balls to stand on his convictions or previously stated comments.
Easy to come on here Billy big boots and dish crap out when hidden

Ha ha just seen this. Must be desperate times.

There is clearly zero point in taking part in an organisation that doesn’t represent the fan base despite the claims it does

What it should look at is why 99% of supporters have zero interest in what they do or represent

I’ve said time and time again the construct of the process to make decisions is wrong. Nearly all members have no say as they restrict the process to meeting attendees.

They should as I have said on another thread be open and honest about their intended aims. The main aim is clearly to return to the Ricoh with the consortium led by Hoffman. They should just say that is their strategy and focus efforts on it - then it’s transparent.

My own view is that all media and action should actually be against Wasps and the council including a statement that urges all people in the coventry area to boycott wasps matches until a conclusion on the dispute happens

I have been told this will never happen as they do not believe in this approach

Therefore there is about as much point as me or “one of my loyal supporters” attending as there is of me joining the Labour Party on the belief I can re-write their manifesto.

I don’t care what they believe in but they should just be honest and upfront what their main aims are so everyone can make conclusions

The thing is it is representative of the supporter base. Those involved can be arsed and those that can’t be arsed aren’t. It’s really that simple.

You volunteered yourself to address that. Got backing and bottled it. We need to be protesting against Wasps, that’s all I’ve said on this matter, there’s plenty of Trust members who will back you up and vote you on including myself (still) but you’re hiding behind excuses. I challenge you to prove me wrong.

Hmm, the analogy is more Blair / Corbyn trying to reform the Labour Party from within, towards their direction.

If you have the time, I'd vote you on to the board to do just that. A different opinion is needed, I feel... but it needs somebody to stand! I appreciate I'm not(!) but, if nobody stands with the viewpoint such as you (me, Tony) then we can hardly complain when the argument stays in the direction it currently goes.

No one is hiding. I’ve had advice this is a waste of time from 3 different people. Also unless you attend the meetings you are not a member in terms of making decisions so if the meeting approved not to sanction protest (which it will not) then you are not actually a member at all

3 whole people. Wow! Now that you’ve said it’s three whole people. You’d happily spend half your life on this board arguing with the entire board over the smell of shit given the chance and we’re supposed to buy that you’ve been convinced by 3 whole people? I’m not buying it. You have more than that willing to vote you on the board and you’re making the assumption that members present at meetings aren’t looking for the trust to start a campaign against Wasps. I personally know more than 3 whole people intending to attend the next Trust meeting and being vocal on that very point.

Tony you clearly believe that the trust should be targeting wasps, so why dont you put yourself forward for nomination instead of using the issue to beat on Grendel?

Because I have neither the time, the desire, the inclination or the skill set. Grendull apparently has all that in abundance. He said he was going to do it and I pledged to vote for him. Before he bottled it.

I do expect to be part of a growing group of Trust members who want to know how the trust plan to protest against Wasps and plan to be at the next trust meeting to express that. I do have the time, the desire, the inclination and skill set to do that and plan to. Amongst others.

Didn't realise the new trust board had been announced. Personally think its about as bad as it could possibly have been.

Joining CJ and other existing board members Dave Eyles (according to their website a former ST holder unwilling to renew under the current owners) and Andy Fletcher will be Neil White (former editor of Derby Telegraph, a Trinity Mirror paper) and unbelievably the Jimmy Hill Way's David 'nothing to do with the trust' Johnson and his buddy Tim Kalns who are of course both associated with Coventry United.

Can somebody let them know that 95% of other City fans are getting behind something at the minute that they seem to have ignored? It's all well and good pushing links about Blackpool and some organisation Roger Ellis is part of but they are just alienating themselves even further.

Good. I’d heard Johnson and Kains would be on it - let them be honest now and say they want to close the club and get Cov Utd at the Ricoh and also offer fans the chance to resign the membership
