Had an email today saying my membership has expired. I signed up and paid £1 for life. They either need to refund or rethink their strategy here. Wants ne to pay £2 for year. I don't mind being terminated as long as they accurately report how many members they actually have. I suspect in the hundreds rather than the thousands they actually claim to represent.

It's not a timed subscription!

They’re probably crowd-funding for Wasps…

Actually think it's a better model having an annual membership but not sure you can just expire lifetime memberships already purchased.

Just read the email. Don't think I'll bother...their most recent "blog" was over two months ago. And that was linking to our discussions here about the 2021 accounts, referencing OSB as having his finger on the pulse. Funny to think they have the ear of the FSA when it seems regular fans here have a better grasp of whats going on. Would be interesting to see just how many actual members they end up with.

To clear things up a bit it was never a lifetime membership. Some of the Trust’s biggest critics have said they would find it a lot more credible if it was done on an annual basis. I agree with them and feel it’s a positive step forward.

I’ll sign up as I believe every club needs a Trust and it gives me that vote which gives me a say. It might only be a small one but without that vote I don’t have one at all.

CJ you are a really nice guy and please don’t take this as a personal attack but..

Trust burnt their bridges years ago and have a long way to get back my faith in them.

Too many personalities overriding basic need of a Football Trust to stay apolitical.

Never have represented the majority of fans just a minority swayed by greed and false promises; made by bad actors trying to destabilise our football club for personal gain.

Yeah but he is a guy who will happily go and watch football in a country with appalling human rights issues and have no problem with it so it's not surprising he will side with the human garbage that is the trust

Is that scumbag who was found failing around the grooming issues in Rotherham still around? The fact he was the formal representative for the trust tells you all you need to know about it

If it wasn't a lifetime membership, why were the critics saying it should be annual?

Gives you a say in what?

Better access to turn up on a Tuesday night to a dodgy social club and vote on something nobody is going to listen to?

They fucked it all up and I couldn't be happier. Nobody involved in it should be let anywhere near the club again and that includes "nice guy" CJ who happily covered for his mates doxxing and trying to get people sacked.

Potential defamation here - it’s Rochdale not Rotherham and took some time to confirm identity

The Sky Blue Trust Membership has achieved so many great things over the years - we hope to take that forward once more with your support.

Even after I’ve googled it Im not sure what doxxing means! Something to do with hacking?

I genuinely don’t know what the Trust do other than get people riled up.
Do they get invited to club meetings? They don’t seem very ‘present’ or representative…although I’m mostly going off of here. If they do represent city fans, who decided they should be our voice, was it them?
How does one get in the Trust?
Did they back some dodgy takeover by Wasps?

Lots of questions. I don’t understand them.

They were going around working out peoples real names addresses and jobs and then getting their lackeys to put in complaints in an attempt to get them sacked.

My bosses thought it was a joke that I’d wound up some football supporters trust but I can imagine others weren’t so forgiving.

CJ knew this was going on all along and covered for them. He’s as complicit as the rest as far as I’m concerned.

Jesus Christ, I never realized it got as bad as that, I thought it was all talk on the internet, that's appalling mate

Didn't think my opinion of CJ could sink any lower but it has now

Shame on you @CJ_covblaze

Oh I didn't know they tried it with you as well.

I know it happened to a few others.

Yes, nobody wanted to listen and went on about tin foil hats etc. Just goes to show certain people's judgement and how they bury their heads.

Although those people aren't on the Trust board any more, there is still involvement from that "crowd".

Grendel can be a massive pain in the arse on here at times but he was the one that alerted me to them starting their attempts.

A bit harsh that mate. Ice never been a fan of the trust, but the two good guys on there were Moz and CJ. Both big city fans who I've seen up and down the country. I'm not exonerating that they didn't know what was going on, but I'd be astonished if either were in any way complicit. I'm sure they were involved with the best of intentions, but all dragged along with some power hungry pound shop politicians for who being on the board gave them power rather than for the greater good of the fans. I think what all were guilty of was being blinded by their hatred of SISU above everything else.

CJ knew what was going on, I told him months before they finally realised.

Like you say, I think more blinded by getting angry and the closed shop circle they had going. Some sort of denial that their mates were pricks and draggin them down too.

Nah, he knew what was going on and did nothing about it so he's as complict as the guys who did it and then tried to defend them (and still does) got no time for that

Not questioning his committment to the club just stating the fact he has the morals of a sewer rat
