From the Trust website:

Like all fans of Coventry City, the Sky Blue Trust is watching with deep concern the latest twist in the dispute between owners of the Ricoh Arena, Arena Coventry Limited and the owners of Coventry City FC, SISU Capital.

The adjournment today by the judge of ACL’s application to the Court until Tuesday 26 March was made, we understand, in order to allow time for more clarity to be obtained about the position of the various companies involved in the running of the Club and the reported actions of the Club’s owners.

We are concerned about the rumours that SISU were exploring options for the Club to play home matches at another Midlands stadium. We feel strongly that City home games should be played in Coventry.* We were pleased to hear an ACL representative confirm that this will continue to be possible, at the Ricoh.

The Sky Blue Trust is deeply concerned at the threats this continuing legal wrangling pose for the future of our Club. We hope the Football League will clarify the position from their point of view, as soon as possible.

However, it is now vital that we do all we can to support the Club and its staff at this time. We must not forget that there are people who depend on the Football Club for their livelihoods, and it is vital that their interests, and those of the wider community, are not forgotten in all of this.

The Trust is seeking early meetings with all interested parties as a matter of urgency, in order to register our interest and to explore positive ways forward. It is now vital that, as fans, we do all we can to secure a long-term, sustainable and successful future for the Club, based on sound financial management and a long-term plan.* We believe firmly and unwaveringly that such a future depends on supporters being properly involved in the ownership and running of the Club.

The problem there is, they need money. Money they don't have..

I know its harsh but sisu dont seem the type to give a shite about a supporters trust so they will have pretty much no say or input!

It would be great of the clubs owners did liaise with fans but is it going to happen?

According to the reps on lko admin was the best thing for us, so what now? As individuals you wanted it and are on tv / radio talking about whats best for the club so what do we do? What are out options?

What do you expect ? that the trust come in with some miraculous solution ? They are a group of like minded people who love our club and come together to at least try to do somethimg about this horrible situation. The most people like yourself do is whinge and disparage what other people at least try to do about the situation.
I joined the trust last weekend to show solidarity to the club we love.

Why not arrange a full on boycott at the next "home" game? Not a single city fan there? Not a protest or a hand hold with opposition fans or a guest speaker about finance!

Something that will really hit headlines!

Good idea. That would also hit them financially. Something they really won't want if they're trying to rent another Stadium at the moment.

Why on earth would SiSU or ACl want to speak with the SBT? Precisely as I predicted when Jan tried to make himself a senior figure within the club, they are just pipe dreams! Sure it would be nice to have fans have a say, but could they do any better? All evidence is that the SBT doesn't know its arse from its elbow.

It is quite galling that STILL the local media go to the self publicity clique that is the few who actually turn up to their meetings at the squirrel pub. They have struggled to get a pledge of £17k within a year, that would probably pay baker for 2-3 weeks. So in effect they are a pointless entity.

The seem to think that because "they are doing something" everyone should take them seriously. But I contacted the FA &the League when Dulux was doing his nonsense to see if he was a fit and proper person and whether his antics would cause the club problems. I was sent an email stating they would investigate - 3 days later Dulux stood down.

I'm not suggesting for one moment I got him removed, but people ARE doing things and don't crave the spotlight like this incompetent bunch are!

I stated in no uncertain terms their efforts are pointless, as the entire concept they claimed was as a last resort. Last resort implies that ALL OTHER avenues are exhausted. Yet their financial plan was then based on finding a rich investor to be included in the SBT. But surely if a rich investor WAS interested, he is hardly going to put up bish and then give away authority to this group!

Doing something for the sake, is NOT praise worthy. They will realise (if they haven't already) they are a total irrelevance other than providing soundbites to the idle journos & radio presenters who cannot be bothered to contact REAL fans.

1200 members they claim, yet can only pledge (not even guarantee) £17K that's less than a match ticket each!

They should stick to being just a fan club, because if they think they have a relevance in any part of the negotiations - they are just kidding themselves, and preventing other fans from having a say, and them trotting out pointless inane drivel!

Well, that would surely hurt ACL and the firm that supplies the pies and beer. Would it have any effect on SISU, other than match day ticket sales (presumably they will be on sale at the ticket office).

Most importantly, would it have a detrimental effect on CCFC as a club? Wouldn't want to harm the club in any way, but if it means the idiots involved in this saga get stung into sorting the mess out, wouldn't be a bad idea.

The SBT are a TOTAL IRRELEVANCE - they cannot even arrange a film night properly - yet they expect to run a club !

They are an embarassment

brilliant statement as i stated on a previous post they have no money or plans, they think a meeting with a digestive and cup of tea makes them a force to be reckoned with, its comical really to think they want to be part of our club

Just think its harsh as it was deano who arranged it off his own back, made the videos himself and donated the money so gained nothing himself from it!

You can't blame them for trying.
They are fans like us trying to influence big business.
Trying to set up a contact point for the fans even though they are ignored.
Hopefully one day they can get better and start to influence.
Just need to get more professional but it will come.
Keep taking the criticism on the chin and continue to improve.

The thing is, why would a hedge fund built up of lawyers and business people need help from a few fans?

The video night deano did :)

Expand ,was there some conflab regarding it ,were the trust involved . I thought Deano was upset with numbers ,I personally could'nt go through working out of town after promising i'd go ,but would willingly still contribute given the opporotunity.

I think deano just donated half to the trust and half to former players

I can categotically state I have never been anywhere near John Clarke's arse.

The Trust is no more and no less than its membership. I have consistently argued that the Trust may achieve absolutely nothing but unless we try we'll never find out, and other Trusts have succeeded so why can't we do it at Cov. The situation at the moment is as clear as mud. Other Trusts have gone down the community share route but at this moment in time there is still nothing up for sale. If/when there is an opportunity for a change of ownership we'll see what happens then.

PS earlier this week the trust was being told it was pro acl now canley kid is saying the trust sucks up to fisher - make your mind up!

To be fair i think people said it was anti sisu because trust board members were on tv saying they want sisu out... Kinda gives it away, but anyway :)

Nick, I know part of your role is to generate discussions on here but admist all this is going on is having digs at the Trust really the top priority (and canleykid clearly says he knows the trust sucks up to fisher so you can't have it both ways)

Im not having a dig! In an ideal world we would get a buyer who would sell or donate 20% of the club to fans so we really could have a say!

I just wondered what the trusts next plan of action was for the situation?

On tv on sunday members of the trust said admin was the best thing for us, we sort of have admin now so why is it the best thing? What happens now?

I am no expert when it comes to admin, liquidation etc so whats the harm in asking what happens now? What can the fans do?

Jan wanted to keep meeting fisher in hope to get on the board as the fans representative,I was at one of the meetings and as the s o c was formed to get sisu out Jan didn't want this another suppirter wanted to go to London and hand out leaflets to workers in London stating what sisu were doing to our club, jan said no as again wanted tea and biscuits with fisher so I know for a fact Jan set the trust up again so he could work with sisu,so if this is what the trust worked towards then they succeeded, however I would not want the trust running or being part of my club.
