I'd prefer the wider scale forum personally.
Because the last large scale forums worked so well...
I imagine this is why they prefer it. A meeting with people like OSB would see them tied up in knots unable to justify their course of action from a financial perspective. We all know what the larger forums are like, they can easily brush aside any tricky questions and nothing really gets answered.
Yes, they rejected the Sky Blue Trust.
I guess the invite is there for ACL / The Council to turn down now he has "said" it publicly?
To be honest (and this may be controversial), but what worth would it be the SBTrust meeting the club about accounts? Do they have any accountants on the board / members / anybody who knows about figures and could make sense of what may come from the club?
Unless OSB would be attending, then I take the above back
I could meet the club and talk about the accounts, but wouldn't have a Scooby doo about what meant what, and what was good / bad, and they could probably convince me the bad bits were good etc etc.

dont blame them, SBT have proven to be nothing but trouble makers.

Trying to work out if you have your irony settings on

Not sure what the offer was, but it didn't sound like SBT members only, rather that they would organise what Labovitch promised.

Anyone keeping score on the broken promises by the way? This has to be a record for them from promise to breaking it.
Haven't looked the link yet.
He was asked a question about finances and accounts in the interview.
If I recall it correctly he said it is important to arrange a public forum with the fans to discuss these questions and explain the accounts finances etc...
With him Steve Waggot and Steve Brookfield
I am paraphrasing but I am sure that was the gist.
I assume the response now is different?
He wants to arrange one with Ann Lucas and Martin Reeves also present.
I'm not so sure that such a forum would concentrate only on the clubs accounts, and would turn more into a 'he said she said' debate, with the 'no I didn't say xxxx' reply.
But it would be good to get all parties in one room together. But I can't see it happening tbh
Don't care what it is anyway.
In an ideal world lock the CCFC accountant up with AN Other accountant who's a member of the Trust, Tim Fisher, and AN Other Investment Banker who's a member of the Trust.
Doesn't have to be pro or anti SISU, can enable an insight into where things going, can even use the hated confidentiality clauses if needs be and info released only if mutually agreed...
But you'd get more insight than person X shouting at Labovitch for being a tool, even if nothing was released from said meeting at all!
Oh I totally agree. I said in the original thread that I'd rather have 4 or 5 fans selected for their knowledge (lawyer, accountant, etc.) than an open forum. My point was that the original offer from Labovitch was for a fans forum with him, Waggott and the accountant to talk about the details of the finances. Not an open meeting about the Ricoh.
It would be lovely, but it wasn't what he offered live on the radio.

Labovitch on CWR said:I think we're getting a lot of questions from fans about so many aspects. My personal view is, we should hold an open forum, with the board of the club with Steve Waggott to [...] talk about the squad and investment in the squad and Brookfield to answer detailed financial questions on the accounts. [...] We can address all those questions, it's going to be very very boring to go into all this on a radio program.
I do agree that it would be good to have OSB and other people who can actually debate to have a meeting. It wouldn't mean much to most of us anyway if it was on the radio or would they just be forced to do it in confidence?
It is so easy for Fisher etc when there are just people heckling and jeering and being shouty, they could deal with that all day.
It is the real hard questions that they should be getting and putting them on the spot.
