If you ask that question you are a member of the sisu social club apparantly.
If ML can't be bothered to get up to Coventry the signs aren't good. Its ludricous to require a face to face meeting.
Does anyone on here actually now the details of what is being offered to SISU to try and lure them back to the Ricoh? Because to me it just seems like someone is saying 'we will pay for the Ricoh, unless you get over 5000 then you can pay for it yourself' knowing full well it will be over 5000?
So, in reality, the details of the offer are irrelevant? would this mean that the Ricoh would be sublet to Sisu?I think any potential acceptance of the deal will depend on if SISU are running out of options. What it does is allow a method of return without SISU having to climbdown and go back cap in hand to ACL and it also means they don't have to deal directly with ACL. Both things that could be attractive to SISU. They could return saying its thanks to KCIC and they're doing it for the fans etc which is a much more positive version of events than we made a mess of everything and had to go crawling back to ACL hoping they'd have us back.
The fact that this is even being considered by SISU rather than dismissed out of hand has to be seen as a positive sign. In fact it shows how bad things have been when this is the most positive piece of news we've had in the last couple of years.
The more I think about this the more I think sisu will have to take this offer seriously.
Depends if it's a serious offer or not.
Hoofuckinray........ It's good to talk........
However, I guess the 'light' is only one of those crap 'eco' bulbs like the one in our khazi.
It's tricky trying to read a 1978 Beano Annual when Im having a sit down number. I want a 90watt!
Anyway, just fucking sort something out & stop screwing us fans around!
KLP
I don't think they have offered it as a joke.
I disagree.
A positive first step.. A couple of things I would bare in mind:
- Is Mark Labovich the right decision maker for the Club in this instance?
- Discussions need to take place in an appropriate manner, not via E-Mail or over the phone.
- There needs to be clarity with regards to the whole offer, the discussions, etc.

He is a non-executive direc tor, so he doesn't really formulate the strategy, he is more like an overseer.. so far he has overseen a rash of poor decisions..

Fair play and like I said in the other thread, happy to sent over a crate of beer and apology for doubting if this comes off!
We want to know all the facts before they sit down and talk????
Has Michael spoke to ACL about the rent?
Has Michael told us who his backers are?
Is Michael as bad as Sisu for not answering questions?
This deal is no better then the last one?
Why 5000?
Michael only does it for publicity!!!
Well Michael fair play to you for not giving in to the usual sceptics who hound anyone who is trying to do something to save our club, while sitting there doing nothing except watching our club Die........
Keep up the good work Michael..........
Nick you really need to stop jumping on Grendels bandwagon.

Its got nothing to do with you.. I'm sure no one involved would be stupid enough to let you advise them.
It's the bandwagon of common sense and negotiating ability - something I know a lot about.
I'm just waiting for it to come out that Gary Hoffman is the man behind the deal. Sounds like his last one redressed
Have you thought about offering your help to Michael when he goes into battle?
I can't help thinking people have 'over thought' the outcome of ML saying he would 'talk to' the people involved. Would it not be just bad PR if he ignored it? I would be first in the line to buy 5 season tickets ( for me, the wife & nippers) if this works out. But I think I have more chance painting wind. Why would SISU sublet the Ricoh?I think there's some very valid points there Chief. ML can now argue that they are trying to do the right thing for the fans, without having to burst the bank. If he plays it right, ML could get some positive spin for SISU - and perhaps get some leaverage on arguing for a piece of the other match day income (saying it will help with FFP etc). Depends on how level headed he is, or how stubborn Joy and Tim want to be.
I do think that he will try and push for too much, seeings how the freehold etc will never be on the table, and they'll want more than ACL are prepared (or able) to offer. That may give him the excuse that it's not viable and we are pushing ahead with Fantasy Stadium.
At this stage I still believe ML and SISU won't do this deal because it doesn't pressure ACL or CCC. But they can't dismiss it out of hand. It will alienate even more people, perhaps even the FL. So they have to play along for now.
@Michael.
Should this prove to be a turning point, this is perhaps going to be the most testing time for you, not just as leading KCIC, but with carrying the aspirations of 25K+ City fans. I hope the businessmen who are backing this are able to give you all the support you're going to need .... and I'd suggest you might also think of consulting with some of the more clued up fans (OSB for example), who have the club at heart and have some grasp of the finances and legals.
You're now seen as a front man for a group, looking to strike a deal with a multi million pound pack of Tigers. F'kin daunting task, to be fair, so take advice and TAKE YOUR TIME.

Cheers, LAST. With the combination of England and this will we meet/won't meet mini saga my early morning optimism has disappeared. Have repeatedly said we'd be delighted to meet to discuss and offered dates etc but just being knocked back with 'telephone call only'. It's actually a really sad indictment of the situation. I can't think of another situation in my entire life when I wouldn't be more than happy to discuss things over the phone but there are several people involved in this and previous 'confusion' 'misunderstanding' 'quoted out of context' etc has left people feeling once bitten twice shy so to speak. I'm calling it a day. If sisu want to meet to discuss they know how to contact me. If they want to respond to the offer by email that would be fine too. But the stakes are just too high for this to descend into who said what etc etc etc in a phone call
Bad figures, refusal to say details, c&p'ing one statement... distracts from what we should be talking about, which is a march celebrating fan unity, run through the media with no details, thus giving rise to the terror that the horrors of the past are behind it. (or maybe three Coventry oligarchs?)
It smacks of manipulation... and if I were Labovitch I too would be calling their bluff by saying OK, we'll talk... and then smirking at the fact it distracts attention from any meaningful effort to resolve things, and gives a ready excuse to back out. All Labovitch saying he'll talk shows is that he's more aware of playing the game than some of his compatriots...
I will accept naivety, but on the information so far I'd suggest Michael is being played and in actual fact this will do more harm than good, and give SISU a reason to dig their heels in more.

Bollocks. It has everything to do with me as I support the club, a club you couldn't give a fuck about.
