Not saying our fans are any worse then other teams though.spot on.
I'm proud of this City really pisses me off when people moan about the homeless, Student accommodation, shops closed, rubbish on the streets and pot holes like it is exclusive to Cov.I've noticed from a young age that Coventry does seem to have a disproportionate amount of negative people. Blame it on WW2 or whatever but the amount of times Cov people say e.g "I fuckin hate this dump, it's a shithole" or "I'm just waiting for move somewhere else" is far higher than you'd hear in other major cities.
I do however think that this attitude galvanises a lot of City supporters who are actually proud of Coventry and want to represent the city in a better light which makes our fan base, especially the away contingent, a force to be reckoned with. It's just those negative armchair twats who spoil the overall picture.
I know this is all anecdotal but I believe there's some truth in it.
Flounce xxTouching distance of the autos
Only 3 league games lost
Battled to the 4th round of the FA Cup
More than a match for a mid table Championship team (Lost on pens)
And all this while exiled in Birmingham.
It makes my pissboil that some of our fans are calling our players garbage. Godden, Baka and Biamou are frequent targets and the judgements of McFaz are all over the fucking map.
Every player Mark Robins has picked has contributed to the incredible season we’re having. Is every player lights-out every game? No. Of course fuckingnot. But that’s why we have a squad of players that MR can rotate in as form fluctuates.
I’m fuckingdone with people that go after our players for internet points.
That's Trash.Flounce xx
....oh and it's Rubbish not Garbage...
It was a very good and accurate post, I don’t know why Greggs was owling about it.Toby fayre, well said US, apart from the 'Garbage' bit obviously...

I read and considered the OP by ''usskyblue' and found myself in fullIt is going that way. If you don't stick rigidly to the 'we're amazing', 'best season eva', '2-tone tiki taka' mantras you're seen as some sort of blasphemer.
FWIW, I think we're a very good side and I often wax-lyrical about the way we play. But, I'm also aware that we only win 4 games out of 10 on average and have some weaknesses and issues that may ultimately cost us promotion. Mention that though and you get jumped on by the believers.
I have deliberated over the post by “Brylowes” and I’m none the wiser to be honest.I read and considered the OP by ''usskyblue' and found myself in full
agreement 'so I gave it a like.
However on reflection ''since reading this reply I now find myself In full

so I'm going back and removing my previous like and placing It here
instead 'you can't be to careful where you award you're internet likes.

That's ok 'it's healthy to acknowledge your own shortcomings :emoji_smirk:I have deliberated over the post by “Brylowes” and I’m none the wiser to be honest.

Likewise to instead of too.I was going to award you a like but you wrote you're instead of your which is an immediate disqualification in my book. I hope you understand and maybe give this post a like to show that there's no hard feelings.

To late.I don’t want to confuse Brylowes but who’s suggesting we should ‘stick rigidly to the 'we're amazing', 'best season eva', '2-tone tiki taka' mantras’ ? If anyone’s jumped on you for constructive criticism, then they’re in the wrong.
My post was prompted by people who throw mindless insults at players based on a passage of play, or a quite game. They don’t become ‘utter garbage’ because of it.
FWIW I totally agree with your concerns about weak areas ..and you should make them known....but that’s a totally different approach to throwing verbals at a player.

I don't. Someone released a book called 'Crap Towns' or something and then had to write a second book because so many people got in touch asking why their town hadn't made the book. It's universal.
But as he said, not as much as CovI don't. Someone released a book called 'Crap Towns' or something and then had to write a second book because so many people got in touch asking why their town hadn't made the book. It's universal.
I think the reference to “scoring points on the internet” should give you a clue there. As has been said by many- our away support is brilliant, it’s the keyboard Mourinhos that are the problem@usskyblue do you see many games ? Or are you judging CCFC fans purely off this forum ?

Exactly. You could speak to any one who lives in a big City throughout the Country and they would say the same about their City.I'm proud of this City really pisses me off when people moan about the homeless, Student accommodation, shops closed, rubbish on the streets and pot holes like it is exclusive to Cov.
But as he said, not as much as Cov
@usskyblue do you see many games ? Or are you judging CCFC fans purely off this forum ?
And they are?For which you have no evidence beyond the anecdotal. How can you possibly gauge how the citizens of Stoke on Trent feel unless you spend loads of time there?
I used to work for a company based in Swindon. The locals were scathing about the place. It used to depress me that much that I started trying to sell the benefits of their own town to them.
I used to live near Swindon for 4 years, wasn’t as bad as Cov. There is a cynicism in Cov and a mistrust of anything new or different that you don’t get on the same level in other places. For which you have no evidence beyond the anecdotal. How can you possibly gauge how the citizens of Stoke on Trent feel unless you spend loads of time there?
