First 15 mins we were good, but after they scored we looked like we didn't have a gameplan. We went narrow and long, whereas we'd looked great passing it around and working it down the left. We closed down high up the pitch in the first 25 mins (Bailey, Jennings, Elliott leading the way), but either we lacked the will or the stamina to keep that up. Why we abandoned what was working so well I don't know, but the performance fell away massively after that.

This place loses its mind after a bad game. It wasn't the most sound mind to begin with.

I've not enjoyed this season at all. We've been crap against crap teams. Any pleasure derived from when we have done well has been mitigated by the fact that it's against crap. This is the worst L1 in around 7 seasons, and we are mediocre in it. How anyone could say that ranks as a good season-even compared to the last 10 aside from the last-totally bewilders me!

Too many bad days to be contenders but I ve mostly enjoyed the season

Wish I had.

Last time I saw City actually win was Tuesday 6th November.

Missed Brum, Walsall, Preston in the JPT, Tranmere.

Was at the Oldham game but had to leave early, so didn't even see us win that one!!

Tuesday the flippin 6th November!!!

I take it that we are in whatever league we deserve to be in and as such I ll take us winning in whatever league we are in. I feel like I ve had more pleasing Saturdays than in recent years. However as an overall thought it still depresses me where we are

More like tactically niaive I would say and not physical enough for this league.

"We're tactically naive and not physical enough for this league and we know we are"? ;)

outfought and out thought, by a clever Crewe team, whose keeper had another blinding game.

i applaude Crewe.

Didn't think we were outfought today.

Crewe were well organised and disciplined, but still the keeper had to make 3 very good saves, we hit the post and had 1 cleared off the line, as well as Bailey's shot that should have hit the back of the net, but went narrowly wide in the first half.

Once again we didn't deserve to lose ........ we however cannot keep saying that again and again week in week out.

I thought Christie had quite a good game, but besides that one ball through to Clarke his crossing was absolutely shocking.

It seems to be a reoccurring theme that we cannot deliver that final quality ball into the box.

Enough chances to win the game today, but we are not getting enough crystal clear cut chances around the penalty area.

I'm surprised he took Jennings off today, thought he had a solid game. Three good shots with three good saves from their keeper. I thought McSheff had a decent game today.

Yep.

It is a terrible, terrible record.

We have lost to Crewe, Carlisle, Scunthorpe, Shrewsbury, Notts County and Stevenage and only drew against Bury. All these teams are below us in the league.

It is dire. Why anyone would think that is suddenly going to change I have no idea.

Otis-when I started this thread I was just frustrated and being facetious about us being shit. Last 15 was poor but the rest was ok at worst, good mostly

The long ball game is for managers without the ability to coach the game as it should be played, it is crude in its concept, and boring in its execution, it may have the odd day when it works, but in the end, it drives people away catatonic with boredom, "get it down, and pass the bloody thing" if it continues Lee Carsey will soon be down the pan.

If you watch the FL show you will often see 5/6 horrendous errors leading to goals in the league 1 part, we never seem to get these errors against us. We are usually the ones giving them away

So frustrating

Agreed.

Seems like every mistake we make at the back leads to a goal.

We don't get the same luxury at the other end though.

Chances to goals ratio In our home games is the biggest problem ! Feel the Jennings/Bailey combination In central midfield lacks a cutting edge going forward ! How many goals from these two ? Whatever it is it's well down on what other top 6/8 sides are getting !
