Giving regular away support makes sense but only if STH Aswell . If away supporters are not STH they should not get priority over STH
Phase 1 Away+ Gold Membership

Genuine question though, do you think a STH who hadn't been to any away games but wanted to go Southampton should get priority over a non STH who had been to every away game?

I personally don't, most (by logic of our attendances) STHs dont go to away games. But there is a hardcore away following, some who go home some who dont. Id say if you are following the team away you should be rewarded

I hope people are not trying to make money from selling the tickets on that is a poor show,

Surely the club will introduce some sort of cap/loyalty system from the start of next season? Pretty much every other club in the Championship/Premier League has one. Completely unfair that someone who has been to every away has likely missed out on this.

I’ve missed out, so have a few others I know. Can see it being full of day trippers and families given they’ve sold out so quickly.

The away points scheme is a funny one as I'd rack up points differently depending on how the games fell.

This month I'll be going to Saints, Reading, Cardiff and Bristol away as they're all close to me. If those games were at the start of the season I'd then probably gain points to go to games I likely won't attend because of distance but if they were all February again like this season I probably won't have the points to attend them at all.

But would balance out over the season, has to be a multi season thing really to be fair. Boddy makes sense by saying this season will be taken into consideration

Apparantly rumours on twitter you could buy 30 tickets...??? I dont see how this is possible
There definitely seemed to be a chunk of tickets that suddenly became available at 10.45 cos I’d been sitting there with absolutely zero luck, was about to give up and then saw someone on here got 2 so I tried again and got them in a couple of goes. There were a couple posted on here at the same time. Whether that was 30 tickets in one basket or whatever, who knows.

Think that's usually when tickets are released from baskets.

Yeah I think a multi season thing would work. priority for those that have attended 40+, then 30+ then 20+ 15+ 10+ 5+ would be fair

None going to any supporters clubs then

To add to this STHs should have priority first too. STH 10+ away games should have priority over non STH 10+

Season tickets should still give you some advantage. One of the reasons I buy them is because of the priority as I can't attend every home game. Lose the away priority and keep being treated like cattle outside the ground and I likely go to pick and chose and I'll attend much less than now as I often say to myself "you've already got your ticket, may as well go"

Yeah I agree, it needs to be a balance,

STH with x away games > non STH with x away games
but
non STH with x away games > STH with 0 away games

Should be easy for the club to come up with a formula 😂

If you want a ticket for Newcastle or Watford away next season, I'd make sure you are at Middlesbrough and Cardiff for those loyalty points.

I don’t see why the supporters clubs get any sort of allocation they are just normal season ticket holders like the rest of us and nothing special.

I’d agree with this too, it’s created a priority above regular P1 ST holders, so if you have a P1 ST Holder in a supporter’s club, you’re guaranteed tickets. The rest of us just enter the battle of the club shop and ticket master.

It should really be done on miles travel, only fair way.

Travel from Cov to Boro you get that amount of miles on your account.

Just a complete coincidence I would accrue miles travelling to home games

Then the Australian supporters club will get first dibs despite only going on game a season 🤣

Those who are not STH won't get priority on away games as often the allocation is gone in phase one so no chance on them having enough points without being a STH. Also, unless you're a NOPM (which wouldn't make sense with the cup as the revenue is split) why would you go to away only? I see lots of the same faces away, but also know they go home too. Also ... a home season ticket guarantees you entry ... to home games. I don't get what people don't understand about that.

I see the sniping has already started at the supporters clubs, even with 5k tickets. I kind of sympathised with the Bournemouth allocation, but here when they are only taking the same amount they usually do and always take a coach to other games, I really don't see the problem. Surely here you'd agree they should have that allocation?

And before the usual mud is slung, 1) I'm not travelling with them, 2) I'm not a member of L&W and 3) don't forget all of the other supporters clubs when singling out L&W.

It's because they've been given a special status of priority above other supporters that they don't deserve.

It's rank unfairness if it's 1 ticket or 1,000.

Does NOPM still exist? Surely not.

Amazing considering people moaned about the draw. I was pissing in the wind thinking I would get a ticket for me and my kids 🤣

I would say 75% of away supporters are phase 1 ST holders. My reasons behind this thinking are that most ticket sales are done for away games during the first few days of sale. We hardly sell any once it goes to General Sale apart from when people jump on the bandwagon like Blackburn. M'Boro is a classic example wasn't it something like 660 sold in phase 1 and less than 200 since.
