Can remember turning up to places like Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs on the day and paying on the gate, no chance of that now!I remember the days when you could rock up the day of the game and stroll in the away end.
I would be amazed if the onsite time isn't automated and the club have entered 10am on the system but a server time somewhere is slightly out. Unless this is the first time someone has ever attempted to buy tickets for any event they would surely know that its a common occurrence.
Also probably not a good idea to put them onsale out of office hours as that would mean limited support for any issues.
Yeah it is really tough. I have a call every Monday at 10am with our management team which has always proved an issue for high demand games. Working from home has made this a lot easier as I can pretend I am listening to what everyone else is saying but in reality I am just hitting refresh.Yeah but how are people who can’t go on at a specific time during a working day meant to get tickets? At least put it during a lunch hour if it needs to.
You haven't lived until a turnstyle operator's sold you a ticket for the home end at Selhurst Park by mistake, when you're decked out in full city gear, and you have to climb over to the away end once you notice the accents around you...Can remember turning up to places like Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs on the day and paying on the gate, no chance of that now!

Do it on your phone and get them to do a sum or somethingWhile I could say ‘sorry kids, sir needs to buy Cup tickets’ I don’t think it would fly with SMT
OrrrrrDo it on your phone and get them to do a sum or something
There's literally an article on the website saying they're bringing in a priority scheme next season for those that attend away games regularly which has been copied on to here followed by loads of posts saying we should have a priority scheme
I remember being at sister-in-laws in Handsworth Birmingham and while women were gassing I nipped up the road to Villa and watched Villa v Man United paid on the gate, 52000Can remember turning up to places like Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs on the day and paying on the gate, no chance of that now!
Wait until someone tries to organise a boat with a barThere's going to be war over Fulham tickets
100% do - an away supporter does not contribute to the clubs revenuePhase 1 Away+ Gold Membership
Genuine question though, do you think a STH who hadn't been to any away games but wanted to go Southampton should get priority over a non STH who had been to every away game?
I personally don't, most (by logic of our attendances) STHs dont go to away games. But there is a hardcore away following, some who go home some who dont. Id say if you are following the team away you should be rewarded
Not instead of but as well as. they are not mutually exclusive and I'd wager most in the SC's are season ticket holders too and therefore do both.People now pushing that supporters clubs contribute to the club financially. I always thought paying fans do as well, must’ve been wrong all this time.
This doesn't really answer the question I asked. The question was about a hypothetical STH with 0 away games getting priority over someone who has been to every away game but doesn't have a ST.I Think the middle ground is a points based system for STH with aways then working its way down. To reply to your post the best I can I don't see how giving away attendees a fair priority would somehow make you lose STHs.Because without season ticket holders you don’t have a football club they are essential stakeholders
So you are solely making your choice on who gives Cov the most money? So on that logic L&W (other supporters clubs available) members over non SC STHs because they have given more money? All seems a bit tory to me.100% do - an away supporter does not contribute to the clubs revenue

Greetings from Southampton. Great that you guys have sold out your allocation so quickly. You will have the whole of the Northam end. It's already looking like a complete 32000 plus sell out, as this Fa Cup tie at £10 is proving very popular. I'm thoroughly looking forward to it. The atmosphere will be good and we all love the cups down here as much as you guys probably do. I was at the game when Cov went down, and been to Highfield Road a few times back in the day. Great to see Coventry City on their way back. You guys will be welcomed.

It should be a points-based system. For example, a season ticket gives you 200pts at the start of the season. For each away game you go to you get an additional 30pts. At the start STH’s will have first choice but eventually non STH’s who have been to enough away games will overtake the STH’s who only go to home games.

Ditto, 100miles travelling per home game on my season ticket account not to mention away game travel. It should really be done on miles travel, only fair way.
Travel from Cov to Boro you get that amount of miles on your account.
Just a complete coincidence I would accrue miles travelling to home games

Isn't the game in 2012 your record gate at St Mary's? I went that day and left after 15 minutes or so
