Be interesting to see how many of their better players stick around. Would imagine Ramsdale and Dibling would be off pretty quickly as well as others. They could end up struggling next year.

Two players that haven't impressed me at all this season.

Ramsdale has been at fault for a number of goals and Dibling looks like one of those players that flatters to deceive - looks exciting because he tries to run with the ball but generally does nothing with it.

In defence to Ramsdale he’s got a pretty shocking defence ahead of him that insist on playing out from the back. He’s kept some games respectable

Utter dross review by Hello magazine too. Just screen grabs from Chrissy's social media posts and not the full depth home tour I was hoping for. I expected better of Hello. No Cov things on show which was shocking by Chrissy Lamps.

Haven’t they put a one hundred million price tag on Dibling so he may be stopping around plus he went to Chelsea and didn’t settle as a youth player.

I know what you're saying but i can't see them struggling personally. Quite a few thought Sheff Utd might find it very difficult this season but its working out otherwise. Saints may well lose a few players but the distortion provided by parachute payments makes it relatively easy for them to fund a really good side at this level.

Having said all of that, coming back from potentially setting the record low for points in a season could be a tricky task, they'll need to appoint well with the next manager.

As long as they choose a half decent manager I would expect Southampton to be challenging for promotion next season. The same also with Ipswich who have a squad now full with top end Championship players. I hope Leicester might be the one that struggles, with a combination of a possible points deduction, and an overly negative support base providing a hindrance to their ambitions.

I think that's a ridiculous amount and no-one is going to pay that.

Maybe as he develops he'll become some world-class player, but I'm just not seeing it. What I'm seeing is hype.

But assuming he stays he will probably do well in the Championship.

Probably the best thing for him tbh.

That or a move to a progressive club like Brighton.

If Lampard chose Southampton over us, then he really would be viewed as untrustworthy, a flake and a chancer with no long-term commitment to a project.
The only reason to move to Southampton would be the for the parachute payments (assuming we don't get promoted).

Not really, if he does well and gets offered more money / bigger transfer fund at another club then he has as much right to leave us, as we do to sack him if he’s doing badly.
