It was a fair question and yet no-one ranting about hanging perpetrators (btw like something out the middle ages) has tried to properly answer it.To be fair it was @PVA who tried to stir it up
YepIt was a fair question and yet no-one ranting about hanging perpetrators (btw like something out the middle ages) has tried to properly answer it.
Before Im jumped on we should lock them up indefinitely for the heinous crimes don't care if here or country of birth but ridiculous to suggest deport to place of parents birth if born here.
This forum is demonstrating that hate fuels more hate and more violence and this is all playing into hands of Putin and Musk!

Again yepWhat do you want answering? Put a bullet between his eyes.
I'm not really sure the whole immigration discussion is about skin colour, no matter how overjoyed people seemed when they saw this bloke was white. (Even though it was pretty obvious he was eastern european)
But would the mother and 2 daughters killed by the crossbow attacker still be alive, oh no that's because he was BritishAn additional reality is that 13 girls would remain unstabbed and alive in 3 cases had the perpetrators not been allowed into the country.
You cannot ban people from entering the country on the basis that their children might commit a crime. An additional reality is that 13 girls would remain unstabbed and alive in 3 cases had the perpetrators not been allowed into the country.
Here you go:

Or deciding to classify the country of Nigeria as full of fraudsters.Ah yes I'm the one stirring it up, not the people looting Greggs and setting fire to hotels.
Or deciding to classify the country of Nigeria as full of fraudsters.
I am willing to hear rational arguments about how to make immigration work better for the country. What I have a problem with is generalising and stereotyping by nationality. In fairness, Nigeria is one of the most fraudulent countries in the world. On the same list is actually Romania. Both those countries along with Albania have an overrepresented prison population in the UK. If you split it by religion there's also some interesting statistics.
I don't see why we can't talk about this normally and acknowledge these statistics, rather than doing the whole extreme opinions thing. Either painting everybody from one place as one thing on one side, or calling people racist on the other for talking about it. There's never any middle ground and it turns the forum into a playground.
Your original post doesn’t quote anyone or cite any statistics, nor is a 9 year old Guardian article giving much support to it.I'm reasonably sure he did say them although you can see this was a few years ago. There is also a full report associated I seem to remember, but cba to look for it.
I'm genuinely not bothered if you find my "stereotyping" "distasteful" - would you be familiar with "the truth" i.e. actual events?
Also, what would be the difference if they are my views or those of Trevor Phillips (other than an enormous budget to fund research)?

A quick google will show you that Nigerians in the U.K. are performing excellently at school & university, with growing numbers.
but yeah, “they’re all fraudsters”
stop with the incredibly lazy stereotypes you pick up on X and Telegram.
Let’s forget that an unsubstantiated racist post was made and allowed to stand.Let's keep it on the actual topic though.....
It’s along the lines of what Trump said about Mexicans.Think it's pretty obvious not every Nigerian person is into fraud?
I am willing to hear rational arguments about how to make immigration work better for the country. What I have a problem with is generalising and stereotyping by nationality.
That is different to ascribing different criminal acts to different nationalities seeking to live here.Isn’t that what the immigration system has always done? A UK passport will get you more places than a Syrian one.

Then prove it instead of tarring whole groups with the crime. Is it not a discussion point when it comes to immigration?
Obviously, not every Nigerian person or Albanian person is going to be a criminal but surely if the statistics show particular things then they need to be looked into. For example when it comes to weed farms, Albanians and Vietnamise people are heavily involved.
Then prove it instead of tarring whole groups with the crime.
Taking that aside, he also claimed that people couldn’t be blamed for assuming the suspect in Southport was Muslim just based on the MO.as opposed to pretending Trevor Phillips said it, then putting up links with no mention of him saying it, then having to admit that actually he probably didn’t say it.
Is that racist after Taylor Swift had to cancel concerts for people to link things and make assumptions?Taking that aside, he also claimed that people couldn’t be blamed for assuming the suspect in Southport was Muslim just based on the MO.

The concerts were cancelled because they had intelligence. Many stabbings in this country are carried out by people who aren’t Muslim. Is that racist after Taylor Swift had to cancel concerts for people to link things and make assumptions?
Let's not pretend that people who might link things and have those thoughts are all racists. (Obviously, attacking a mosque because of it is a complete different kettle of fish)
Are Muslims responsible for most UK knife crime?I think you'll find he did say it, but I'm not prepared to waste time digging around just to prove a point to what I assume to be a group of school sixth formers.
When it comes to mass stabbings in public places in Europe (and beyond), well yes, many such attacks are performed by Muslims in the name of Allah.

Assuming the attacker to be one based just on that information is racial profiling whether you mean it to be or not. He was born in Wales to parents from an overwhelmingly Christian country.
