It's a fat right white power thing to say the media like the killer though. That's the issue. Too many people fall for their shit and repeat it.
I see the face of an evil killer who deserves to die in agony. Just like Ian Huntley. Just like the killers of Jamie Bulger. Don't care if he's black or white. Won't be taken in by photos of him when he was young and neither would anyone else .

You're both missing my point, so maybe I didn't explain it very well. Sadly I fear we are facing a 2012 style riot spree if we aren't careful. I am highlighting that I think the media have a lot to answer for. It isn't just this story, or even this week. They are creating division on all sides of the political scale, across different demographics of people, and all over society. In all seriousness, at this rate if we get another heat wave combined with another nutter doing something stupid, I'm worried the country is going to go pop and descend into a state of anarchy.

Not really. Its not about his skin colour to me. There's plenty of other people done for horrific crimes all races and colours where random stuff like that hasn't been spun.

I'm not saying it's about liking him, I'm saying I find it strange how it's "autistic choirboy".

Although I am a bit chubby nowadays 😔
Lol

I just think they do these stories for all killers that's all

Because of social media everything is a conspiracy these days

I agree riots could escalate. I mentioned this few weeks ago that normal people have been ignored and extreme left are helping the extreme right

I don't think the media are trying to help the left on this one though. Think it's a normal story that happens about all murderers

Totally agree.

Nutter kills kids. Police act heroically, arrest the perp.

Groups on social media spread false claims he's just got off a boat, he's a Muslim. Right wing groups cause violence and disorder, throwing bricks and other missles at the very same police.

Press report it. Police comment on it.

Press report potential trouble at the weekend. Police comment on it. Starmer comments on it.

Yet some would rather blame the Press, the police, the government, etc for what's kicked off.

Dunno why you're bothering, this is standard MO

Depends who's getting offended I guess. I would find it quite funnily ordinarily, but imagine if it was a white woman presenting that BBC Sounds clip being condescending towards two black women using phrases like that.

Statues would be toppling.

Imagine if a white man had gone around Birmingham and stabbed 7 black people, killing one of them. What do you think the outcome would be?

Unless the owl was a Muslim, then it was the police's fault.

Should have just said they were at a black lives matter protest and they would have got away with it.

And for special effect, right wing protests are the fault of Muslims!!

This debate is already dead.

Right wing violence has grown for pretty much only one reason: This is the mass migration of people with different belief systems (mainly muslim) from third world countries forced by weak governments across Europe that seem pretty hand in hand with these individuals on the idea that our culture, way of life, and heritage is destroyed. Couple this is in with the growing violence that has come with it... This includes muggings, sexual assaults, gang violence, and terrorism.

What's a heatwave got to do with it?

Did you see Southend the other night, like a scene from Mad Max or you chose not to see this.
The couple stabbed on Bournemouth beach, one faitily, the perpetrator travelling from London intent on killing.
The 2 young university students stabbed to death in Nottingham.
The Annecy playground stabbings.
The London Bridge Stabbings.
The list is endless, what is Starmers words of warnings for these people.
It has to stop.

Hang on . So are the french blockading migrants from leaving France. That can't be right. They'd never do that.

5 year sentence instantly for carrying a knife but you'll only get a suspended sentence because all the prisons are full .

I think it's just farmers protesting in France generally rather than immigration
The French know how to protest I'll give them that. Something we lost years ago.

Thanks to the Tories and their austerity. Studies have shown crime increased dramatically, mainly in poor areas.

They also didn't build enough prisons, so double whammy.

Yes, you don't think that genuine factual historical events such as grooming gangs have spurred on the far-right? It has about as much relevance to what I am saying at this very moment as if I were to go in the search history and type in 'coronavirus' next to poster: 'Northern Wisdom', but it is still true.

There's problems on a whole variety of different areas within Britain; far-right, the tories, Islam, the VAR team at Wembley, yet we go round and round in circles every single time because you and some others are fixated on kicking off at certain things, and making excuses for others. It works both ways, but if you cannot talk properly about the problems we face in our society, then what are you actually doing to help things? It isn't constructive to duck out of some conversations, yet milk others, and it really doesn't make any sense to be so scared to talk about certain things which is what I believe a lot of this comes down to.

The way things are reported is definitely contributing to division, and there are publications from both left and right leaning media outlets that get thrown in here all the time, for the very reason that they are guilty of spinning things their own way. That was my point. We are now on the verge of anarchy if we aren't careful, and anyone saying the media hasn't contributed to that must be on drugs. Considering you've spun up the time machine and spent an hour on a Friday night trying to make it about something else tells me I must be getting somewhere close to having some valid points.

One side goads action though the other reports on things from an angle

Interesting use of picture by the media of the accused. School uniform, normal/innocent looking etc. Absolutely nothing like the court drawing that's circulating.

Strange.

I don't get this.

How many pictures of him do you think are out there in the public domain?

Do you expect the media to go and knock on his mum's door and ask her for some more photos of him so they can find a more suitable pic to use?

That choir pic is presumably literally the only photo of him in the public domain.

Of all the things to get wound up about.

Really not wound up about it, just seems odd.

Again, what's the issue? Maybe he was a quiet schoolboy?

Quiet schoolboys can go on to become murderous animals.

Absolutely no one is making him sound like the victim ffs. Not the medias fault if '@iamyesyouareno' is a thick c**t.

The wording is the issue.

Throw in the constant mention of Taylor Swift to get more clicks etc.

Also why not say quiet schoolboy brutally murders innocent girls for example? Emphasise on what he's actually done, not sugarcoat it with "quiet schoolboy did a bad thing".

What?

It's constantly being referred to as a "Taylor Swift" themed dance class in headlines on the radio.

Let me get this straight. The Taylor Swift themed dance class is being referred to as the Taylor Swift themed dance class?

Tragically, chances are those poor girls wouldn't have attended if it wasn't.

Not everything is a conspiracy.

Can’t we just all agree this lowlife thing is worse than an aggressive dog and just needs putting down and out of our misery?

That particular article is about a picture of the guy. Probably a story about his background.

I really can't imagine any article on the attack itself leading with 'quiet schoolboy' in the headline.
