“comparatively”. When it’s put next to the main objective of the league. We’d all take a thumping if it meant getting promoted later on.
Except how that's not how football works, the two events are almost completely independent of each other, and beating spurs once is much easier than getting promoted.

I've always stated I've taken my kids to night matches .. so you should probably tell the people that moan about that

Woke mentality. I used to go night games, then my mum would be grumpy with dad when I was tired in the morning and wouldn’t get out of bed.

You’re choosing not to take the point, when it all boils down to money. I’ll end it here: the pricing was fucking shit. Need to carry on with work now, in a bit!

Saddle with respect I don't care what spurs fans think of our crowds .. and maybe you shouldn't either .

The problem is quite clearly the cost , which football fans should all be onside with

Id agree with you on that

Those on Twitter who were making out Doug was making the best business decision ever seen looking very stupid now

"Big 6 " by sky sports ..

Get less crowds than west ham and have won 3 trophies in the last 40 years can we stop referring to them like they're FC barcelona

I disagree.

Our junior/kids pricing is too high generally, but pricing this game the same as Cat A league games made sense to me.

they'll start to fly out the door

i know a load of people who haven't been for ages who are going to get tickets

Exactly. People do not buy until last minute.

Hence why away games with big allocations always sell slowly.

Yes it’s the concessions and let’s be honest if this was away we’d sell 10,000 tickets
We would have gone had been more competitive.

5 year old and 8 year old not missed game this season up until spurs - but back to school, netball that night and then forking out £70 for 3 of us for 8pm kick off on school night just didn't stack up.

However had it been say £20 adult / £10/£5 for kids - probably would have gone.

Bottom line also, it's the carabao cup 3rd round, no one cares and it's against a 2nd string at best spurs. League priority.

Think the club have mis judged this one.

You can't compare West Ham and Spurs lol. The ground holds 1K more but they only charge £15 unless a London derby so no wonder they sell out.

No they don't. They have the third highest average attendance in England.

They are comfortably a top 6 club with some global players.

Point is , spurs are no bigger than villa or Everton, but people talk like they're real madrid , and that's driven by sky

Spurs have won more trophies than Everton, have a bigger global fanbase, a significantly bigger and better stadium than their new one.

Everton have won 9 English titles to spurs 2 , Everton have won more prestigious trophies , Everton are about to have a new stadium too

Their new stadium isn't even on the same planet as the Spurs ground.

Everton historically are a massive club but I guarantee more people around the world know Tottenham in 2024.

Means little really. Tottenham would fill 75k if they had it.

Spurs hold the highest PL attendance from when they played at Wembley.
It does mean something , Everton have won 2 less trophies than spurs , but their spurs fans would much rather Evertons cabinet .

Everton and villa both as big

Everton and Villa would be the biggest clubs to play at the Ricoh since Chelsea too...

Yes but people like myself have seen us play villa and Everton alot .. adding spurs into the big 6 was a sky thing , almost as hilarious was the idea they had a place in a super league

They've won almost nothing in my lifetime

Absolutely but it's not all about trophies. It's a collective thing. Hence why West Ham aren't a top 6 club despite their attendances.

Spurs are a big club and very recognisable. They have globally recognised players. One of the best stadiums on the planet which has hosted some of the biggest events.

Shame people are desperate to lower the excitement for next week's game. They are the biggest club to play at the CBS in a competitive match since 2009.

Who is buying them? 10k+ people have opted not to buy theirs at a discount. How many of those are now going to pay £37 for something they could have bought for £30 yesterday?

Happens at every cup game.

Even the Wembley semi final didn't sell out until a day before.

Sure they are , but it's not like playing man utd or Liverpool is it .

They aren't on the same planet , it's no different to playing Everton is it

In 2024 it's absolutely bigger playing Spurs than Everton. Look at their squad.

Same here mate. Sure its a shitty competition and they will rest some players but how often do we get Premier League teams at home, let alone one of the 'big' clubs?

Can't quite get my head around anyone being happy to pay out for a season ticket but drawing the line to pay £30 to watch Spurs.

We do seem to have an issue where a large section of our support expects things to be priced lower than for every other club and kick off if it isn't.

Will look shit and no doubt we'll get the piss taken out of us by other clubs but we've only got ourselves to blame. At least the queues should be short at half time!

I didnt take up my initial ticket because I'm bringing my grandson but now I'm expected to fork out another £7. Piss take.
It's not the money it's the principle.

Missed the deadline for purchasing my ST seat as a ‘reserved seat’ but it’s still free and trying to purchase it now, but it’s charging me full price adult.

That isn’t right is it? I’m still a ST holder buying my ST seat? Or have I missed something?
It is right it’s very clear

I don't look at football like you do clearly , because that would mean man city are currently bigger than man utd .. but they are a million miles off
