Competing for money is my argument, that's all nothing about brand loyalty or anything like that, and there will be some hedging there bets, to deny that is well, ignorant?

For how many do you really think that will be a consideration? I would suggest a minuscule number, so it’s a realistic rather than ignorant view.

Sorry - I think we have about 21K season ticket holders.

After that - we have very few people with large numbers of points.

Given the uptake of season ticket holders has been underwhelming - they should drop the number of points needed (?50) - so people can crack on and buy tickets.

I wouldnt mind if I could print my ticket on hold - but I really dont want to have to queue at the ticket office on arrival (Its hard enough to get there for kick of as it is!)

They must have thousands more. There's no way they'd open it up to people with 200+ points if there isn't enough people to fill the 28,000 seats we have available.

We will look tinpot. First premier league team here for over a decade (not counting stoke as we were L2) and we can't muster 20k? That's about as tinpot as it gets
Agreed to an extent but it is in a tournament that people just don’t have a lot of interest nor engagement in.

It’s also on TV, personally I think the gate will be decent on the day.

well the semi final we didnt shift many tickets at that bracket so not sure why you thought this would be any different?

the club obviously expected more season ticket holders to get tickets

Are they allowed to cut prices on the tickets now they’ve already been on sale?

It would be even more disrespectful to even more fans who’ve bought, but as an attempt for him to try and save face?
Not a chance.

It's still only available to 200+ points, so they'll bring in previous purchase soon, which i suspect would be enough to get a decent crowd in. If not they could go general sale to save face, but can't see that going down well with the SAG and don't think it will happen.

It's suggesting shades of the wasps fiasco to me, but we'll see!

Based on what people are saying on social media, the 200 points thing is the biggest issue rather than price.

There's people on Facebook asking for 4/5 tickets but can't get them because they only have 50 odd points.

How many games in the last 5 years would you have had to attend to have 200 points?

They did and it's baffling why people haven't tbf

it’s midweek first of all
Secondly kids prices put a lot of people off
Thirdly it’s on sky
And a lot of fans are pissed off with the prices

accumulation of reasons and the club didnt read the room. if the prices were set right you wouldnt have 23 page thread and most tickets be sold by now

when i say correct price that would have been £25 adults £10 kids

They'll still sell out. I'm still sure of it.

Max. Less if you combined it with night games.

Yeah and a few away games. Probably around 15 games.

It's a fair amount. People are travelling from all over to go to this. Someone flying from Australia for 2 weeks to take this game in, plus a couple league matches. They can't get a ticket.

If the Australian City fan is a member of the Cov international supporters club they will a ticket through the London supporters club like I did for last season's away game at QPR.

Same but hopefully they won't need to. Should be their chance to get points.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. The fact we can demand bigger crowds for Oxford at home in the league than a one off cup tie is actually a positive in some respects.

It's £128 for a family of four. No surprise to me that people not keen to pay that just because we're playing Spurs reserves.

Also seeing the same people on twitter who were all 'omg, if you don't like the price don't pay it' are now 'omg people are not paying it'.

Tickets now open for sale to anyone with buying history 👍🏼

Signs of progress that a home cup match against Spurs doesn’t command the demand of a league home game! Roll on Leeds away tickets tomorrow.

Completely agree. I'm actually pleased people aren't falling over themselves to watch Spurs reserves. It's only slightly more attractive than Everton in pre-season for me. The League cup is a shit competition as well.

Can’t believe the stick I got from ( mainly season ticket holders) when complaining about £37 tickets over the last couple of years…..oh the fucking irony now they’re asked to pay the same….Lol

If we win were in the quarter finals. Shit as some may think the cup might be we have the squad to put out a half decent team in any given match.

CCFC v Spurs lge cup
1995 18,277
2003 15,474
Be very surprised if this match is not higher than both of these
I should hope it is, our average league attendances in those seasons were almost identical to the Spurs attendances. We averaged 25k last season and 28K this season so its not comparable.
