Why didn’t you just get normal tickets…?
I like where i sit and Its my ST and where other Family & Friends sit. My point was Championship football at every ground is far to expensive. Clubs are taking the piss and it needs the EFL to step in and price cap games like the Premier League do.

If you have 2 kids and follow city home & away then september is basically a £500 month for that when you add up tickets, travel and extras.

I'd rather not have a few thousand Spurs fans all around the Stadium.

Anyone who wants tickets can get them now. Just ask a City fan with points to get them for you.
Yeah it was for my Mrs, who showed an interest in going, but logging on to see it’s £38… I’ve talked her out of going. Absolute scandalous pricing.

I don’t understand the mentality from some regarding adult pricing for this game.

£37 is perfectly reasonable. It’s a top 6 premier league team - it’s the first EFL cup game I’ve been to for ages. Bought it as soon as they were available.

So you tell your Mrs. what she can spend her money on?
I think it’s called giving advice, when value for money is not represented. But thanks for the concern. 😊

Do people really not take their kids to midweek games? I had a season ticket from 8 and went to every game midweek
But the roads around the ground weren’t closed for 45 mins after the game finished. We’re in carpark A and it can be 11.00 before we get back to Rugby, far too late for 7 yr olds. Then I have another 30 min drive home.

Let me see your outrage at £37 for Norwich at home. A big team comes to town, and suddenly the world is up in arms despite it being cheaper than some league games this season. Do me a favour!

You all claim to be fans and want the best for the club, but also, you don't want to support the club, you just want piss cheap tickets. Engage the grey matter a little bit and you'll start to see some sense..

And how many city fans paid the £37 against Norwich? About 3K.

Cup games are from a standing start of 0. They're bonus fixtures for the club and traditionally priced a bit cheaper to encourage take up. It was always a stretch to sell out at those prices. We also have the highest kids prices in the league, this is bound to have an effect, and it has.

So if we drew Man City we’d need to reduce prices?

No, it's about demand. People will pay those prices if the occasion justifies it, even if they don't like it. We sold out against Boro in the play off semi at full price.

The point that is being made is that the 3rd round of the league cup on a Wednesday night probably needed a more attractive price, regardless of it being Spurs. Some people don't see it as a big occasion in the way others do. And let's be honest, the crowd is down on league gates primarily because a lot of ST holders are giving it a swerve, so point proven no?

It's like Ipswich, as the same stage last season, while in the top 2, only pulled in 20K against PL opposition, and kids were only £8 - 10,000 fewer than league gates.

Was told today sales are at 22K, so it won't be that bad anyway.

I really don’t know why it bothers you as you’ve stated before you don’t go to early rounds of cup competitions.

it doesn’t bother me about the pricing - that’s the point?
