Several top flight clubs in Europe share the same stadium. How would we feel about sharing a new stadium with Birmingham at say the NEC ?
Is it? Never seen tickets that cheapFrom Manchester or Stockport.
Yeah, thought that seemed really cheap. Is it? Never seen tickets that cheap
Yup.You can read all the statements and it is all smoke and mirrors. The bottom line is SISU and the Wasps owners deserve each others. The losers are the fans; neither care about the fans along with CCC.
I would just appeal to everyone who says they won't go to at least now wait and see what the club offer in terms of ST and ticket prices before making a final decision.
I don't think I will be going, but am happy to wait to see what concessions the club offer first before coming to a final conclusion.
The situation is mad. It doesn’t make sense. Now I might be naive but think about it. It’s in Sisu’s interest to make as much money as possible from the club. We were promoted last season and just missed out this season. I just don’t get, never have understood the council. Why on earth sell your home ground to a London rugby club. Utter madness. Sisu have made massive mistakes, but for gods sakes our council and wasps are a disgrace.
I think when it came down to it one hedge fund threatened to have them all in court........and the other slimy shits slithered in charming them with a way to be able to stick two fingers up to the aggressive crowd. Result CCFC fucked over and even worse. ..still owned by that bitch of all bitches Seppala !The situation is mad. It doesn’t make sense. Now I might be naive but think about it. I think I would go to the odd game. Just no ST.Come on Otis. We'll take you to one game as a 'special guest' Didn't you attend one of the l&wcccfc meetings (somebody told me afterwards, and I was gutted I hadn't been able to say hi)
The 21 of us could hold a reunion!I think I would go to the odd game. Just no ST.
20 because Grendel would surely not turn up again. The 21 of us could hold a reunion!
None of us are real anyway.20 because Grendel would surely not turn up again.
In fact, last time I think he sent his butler anyway.
If only there was some sort of organisation whose job it was to represent the city and its residents and ensure things like that didn't happen.just realised that all the car park places will take a hit in terms of lost revenue near the Ricoh. Pubs and local businesses will take huge hits.
Ha. Yes.None of us are real anyway.
Tell you what, there's a danger the Jasper Carrott gag about turning to the fan next to him in St Andrews and shouting OI may just come true if we're not careful.

The PSB?If only there was some sort of organisation whose job it was to represent the city and its residents and ensure things like that didn't happen.
Has it been paid or is it the same as last time where it was payable if we didn't return which was of no use whatsoever.Efl have said that there has been a 1 million bond provided by the club to ensure we return to the city. As well as legal guarantees it can't be permanent
But it will be at least 5 years for a new stadium,if ever at all.Efl have said that there has been a 1 million bond provided by the club to ensure we return to the city. As well as legal guarantees it can't be permanent
If they had built a new stadium for the commonwealth games there I could have easily seen that happening. its only slightly over the mileage allowed by the EFL so bound to have been allowed.Several top flight clubs in Europe share the same stadium. How would we feel about sharing a new stadium with Birmingham at say the NEC ?

Then what? The EFL cannot force Wasps to take us back.

Yes great when it is free. Why didnt he go to Coventry Rugby? A club with a great history and older than Coventry City.
Bad habits can still be trained out of himFree tickets and he liked the fan village. He's one of these people that suddenly became a rugby fan over night.
24 quid is decent enough, more frequent direct trains from Brum as well£40 for open return.
Its profit v fans v ordinary people. If only there was some sort of organisation whose job it was to represent the city and its residents and ensure things like that didn't happen.

Absolutely. Some supporters seem to think that SISU did the right thing in pursuing the EU option, that somehow if SISU are proven to be correct then all our troubles are over. Naïve unfortunately.I haven't read the entire thread but I haven't seen anyone mention that even if Wasps do go bust they don't have to sell the ground to SISU. They will make far more selling it for housing like at Highfield Road.
And of course even if SISU did prove the council were wrong to sell to Wasps it doesn't mean they will be entitled to compensation. State Aid affects everyone not just the owners of a football club.
I can't see a scenario where the Sky Blues own their own ground unless they build it for themselves, and that will never happen under SISU. They are not in the business of building things.
I suggested this should have been the approach a few weeks back. We needed to get people who don't give a flying about CCFC onside and to do that show how much we bring to the community. Speak to the casino, pizza hut, pub landlords, chip shop owners etc and get them to estimate the loss of earnings and loss of jobs in the event of a groundshare. Splash the findings all over. You then have an angle of attack against Council/SISU/Wasps.Quite Otis and the impact on local business around CV6 and further afield is awful. There are plenty of clowns here talking up St Andrews but the reality is despite the blame game it's Cov people's jobs that will be affected and Cov business losing revenue.
Maybe they could be called "West Midlands Wanderers".I wonder if anew club now night be formed. Cov United always said they didn't see themselves as a phoenix club.
Just very concerned that some bright spark might now start a new CCFC AFC.
I have always said if the City went bust I would consider following a new club, but not while Coventry City FC still exist.
I sincerely hope it doesn't happen, but have a feeling it might.
