ST seats not reserved for the Exeter game. (1 Viewer)

By committing to the club and showing faith in them by purchasing a season ticket you get a discount on match day prices in a seat of your choice. You also get priority to purchase your seat for cup games ........ but not for the game against Exeter in the JP.
Because the North Stand is not to be opened unless there is a demand for it for that game and because any ST holders in that area can therefore not be offered their seats the club have also decided not to allow any ST holders in both the East and West stands to reserve their preferred seat. They can still buy a ticket on priority sale but there is no guarantee of your own seat.
I understand that any ST holders in the North stand might well be annoyed but why upset ST holders in the East and West stand too?

No it hasn't. You always get the chance (priority) to retain your seat for a cup game before they go on general sale.

Barring last season, I have had a season ticket since 1967 and I'm sure this will be the first time that it will not be possible to have my own seat. Since the introduction of the Smart Cards it has always been possible to go online and pay, and the match is automatically added so that the card would gain admission.

We will not be bothering with the Exeter game, even though it is only £5. Apart from it being 'only' the JPT, I am unwilling to risk another ticket fiasco after having to chase up tickets for Yeovil that we had already paid for.

The point is...... You're not guaranteed get your preferred seat because it won't be reserved.

Will surely make selling tickets easier? Can just sell them to ST holders between these dates, then everybody between the others.

No fecking around waiting for ST holders to take their seat.

As long as I can remember it's always been priority sale to season ticket holders followed by general sale. That's one of the reasons/perks that we buy one. This is a change of tradition and common sense because the North Stand isn't, initially anyway, going to be open. The PRIORITY for ST holders is still there until next Thursday when they go on general sale, but not to claim/reserve your preferred seat.

ST holders are entitled to their regular seats. The problem is that they are so badly organised. I would have to either make a trip to Coventry to collect my tickets or buy online and take a chance on them arriving in the post - which they didn't for Yeovil. This is all down to the fact that ticket sales are a shambles. We bought our STs online on the first day we could, yet still no sign of them.

I know there will only be a small crowd and there should be no problem getting in. But it was only 11000 for Yeovil and they still made a complete pig's ear of it. Coming to Coventry to stand in a queue is not an option so if that means we miss cup games then so be it.

Who knows? It may be a nice night for Exeter and if it's a fiver on the gate we may do that. But probably not.

ST holders SHOULD be entitled to their regular seats but for the Exeter game they are NOT. I have been to the shop today to discuss it after reading the statement on their web site.

To get them cheaper? Will one game really hurt? No different to telegraph st holders not having their seat when they didn't open it.

Is it going to kill people? If you have a st there is a good chance will get your seat isn't there as most st holders will their own

If for some reason you can't, pick another seat and have a change of scenery and go to the game and have fun

(If the game is enjoyable that is)

Then get back to your seat for the next League game.

It really isn't a big deal, is it? If you are disabled and they want to put you in Row ZZ then I agree it is out of order.

If you had understood my posts you would realise that it's not about getting a precise seat. It is about getting tickets when you live some distance away.

Had they sorted out the Smart Card system we could have paid online and the card would admit you on the night. But I'd already said that. Also, if they did that (as happened for years previously) then everyone would be allocated their own seat and it would make ticket sales easier for the club.

A lot of people ordered tickets online for the Yeovil game and they didn't get posted out, then had to queue for hours to collect tickets on the day
