ST seats not reserved for the Exeter game. (2 Viewers)

By committing to the club and showing faith in them by purchasing a season ticket you get a discount on match day prices in a seat of your choice. You also get priority to purchase your seat for cup games ........ but not for the game against Exeter in the JP.
Because the North Stand is not to be opened unless there is a demand for it for that game and because any ST holders in that area can therefore not be offered their seats the club have also decided not to allow any ST holders in both the East and West stands to reserve their preferred seat. They can still buy a ticket on priority sale but there is no guarantee of your own seat.
I understand that any ST holders in the North stand might well be annoyed but why upset ST holders in the East and West stand too?

Because getting a seat during the priority period will be difficult won't it!

Barring last season, I have had a season ticket since 1967 and I'm sure this will be the first time that it will not be possible to have my own seat. Since the introduction of the Smart Cards it has always been possible to go online and pay, and the match is automatically added so that the card would gain admission.

We will not be bothering with the Exeter game, even though it is only £5. Apart from it being 'only' the JPT, I am unwilling to risk another ticket fiasco after having to chase up tickets for Yeovil that we had already paid for.

Will surely make selling tickets easier? Can just sell them to ST holders between these dates, then everybody between the others.

No fecking around waiting for ST holders to take their seat.

As long as I can remember it's always been priority sale to season ticket holders followed by general sale. That's one of the reasons/perks that we buy one. This is a change of tradition and common sense because the North Stand isn't, initially anyway, going to be open. The PRIORITY for ST holders is still there until next Thursday when they go on general sale, but not to claim/reserve your preferred seat.

ST holders are entitled to their regular seats. The problem is that they are so badly organised. I would have to either make a trip to Coventry to collect my tickets or buy online and take a chance on them arriving in the post - which they didn't for Yeovil. This is all down to the fact that ticket sales are a shambles. We bought our STs online on the first day we could, yet still no sign of them.

I know there will only be a small crowd and there should be no problem getting in. But it was only 11000 for Yeovil and they still made a complete pig's ear of it. Coming to Coventry to stand in a queue is not an option so if that means we miss cup games then so be it.

Who knows? It may be a nice night for Exeter and if it's a fiver on the gate we may do that. But probably not.

ST holders SHOULD be entitled to their regular seats but for the Exeter game they are NOT. I have been to the shop today to discuss it after reading the statement on their web site.

That's what I meant to say. Otherwise why buy a season ticket?

To get them cheaper? Will one game really hurt? No different to telegraph st holders not having their seat when they didn't open it.

Is it going to kill people? If you have a st there is a good chance will get your seat isn't there as most st holders will their own

For goodness sake it's a jpt 2nd round game, I won't be able to get my season ticket seat either but who cares! Moving on ...

Yeh got ya. Was two ways of reading it.
Exactly that, the reason for your ST is to be able to pick the seat where you prefer to sit and to have a priority over general sales to buy it for cup games.
Yes it is a shambles. See my other thread about why your ST may be late!!!!

Will you still be on the same kick if they employ the same rules for a later stage game i.e. remember Crew??

I would have thought the priority would have been to watch the match and support the lads ?
Obviously we have some supporters who won't go if they can't have a certain seat to park their arse on !

I would have expected the game for free as a season ticket holder.

Don't most people get ST's because it saves money? Never understood the attachment to one exact seat, especially just for one game.

I'm sure you're seat will be empty along with 30:000 other seats fuck me some people always find something to moan about.

Just being there in the first place is of course the object but worth pointing out the changes to the norm.

Will that change kill people for one game? Will it damage them?

As long as the disabled and OAP's still get as equally accessible seats there is no issue at all.

What did you do against Burton in the JPT?

What did you do last time in the JPT when people had to move seats? Did you survive it? Did you ask the club for counselling?

It's supposed to be a discussion isn't it, an exchange of opinions. You can spit some poison at times Nick..... is your first name arse?

So what did you do then in the JPT last time?

Hardly poison is it? Think you were expecting it to be an outrage or something hence referring to your other post also with some outrage.

Dear Arse,
I sat in my usual seat.

So this is what you do.

When the tickets come on Priority Sale (to people with Season Tickets), log in, order your seat :) Go to the game and have fun
If for some reason you can't, pick another seat and have a change of scenery and go to the game and have fun

(If the game is enjoyable that is)

Then get back to your seat for the next League game.

It really isn't a big deal, is it? If you are disabled and they want to put you in Row ZZ then I agree it is out of order.

If you had understood my posts you would realise that it's not about getting a precise seat. It is about getting tickets when you live some distance away.

Had they sorted out the Smart Card system we could have paid online and the card would admit you on the night. But I'd already said that. Also, if they did that (as happened for years previously) then everyone would be allocated their own seat and it would make ticket sales easier for the club.

Order them online and they will be delivered?
