Anyone ever had any and if so, just the one, or more than one?

My current total stands at three. A fourth is possibly on the cards though. ;)

Begs the question What is Otis doing that elicits such behaviour in others I think ?
Used to be a lead singer of a band and also did some acting. Two through that.

And then I just have one of those faces.

First one was when I had a band and this girl took a real shine to me.

Only really hit me when one night she took her coat off and she had, had a t-shirt made with my name plastered all over it. She was a fan who followed us everywhere, but was very unhealthily into me in particular and became obsessed. She would cry when she saw me. I still get a lot of that now, but for differing reasons. ;)

To 'escape' me she joined the navy, but then even started writing to me from there.

Second one I was a lead actor in a play and this girl kept following me everywhere everyday. Everywhere I went.

At one point she came right up to me and asked me if I liked her jumper, which she promptly took off and she was just in her bra underneath.

Worst thing was she was just 15. She always just stared at me and followed me about.

One thing did make me feel really guilty though. She bought a card she wanted everyone to sign at the end of the production and I wrote on it 'Keep taking the tablets!' Only to find out a short time later she was on medication for mental health issues. :(

Third one was a girl in a supermarket. There was a girl there I really fancied and I would keep going in to see her, but always only found her mate and colleague there and she would always say the other girl was off.

This friend took a real shine to me and she started following me about and turning up everywhere and she constantly kept asking me out and I kept saying no.

She was a pretty little thing, but something told me to avoid her. So glad I did, because a few months later I saw her in town and she had a boyfriend and they were wearing absolutely identical clothes. She even had her hair cut the same as him.

A few months after that I saw her again, with a different boyfriend and lo and behold, she was dressed identically to him too. Shoes, trousers, shirt, jumper, jacket, hair.

At the moment I have a girl following me about. All I did one day was to say 'Hello' as we passed walking our dogs.

I must be three times her age, but after that initial contact I keep seeing her every day, whatever time I walk the dog and if she is a way ahead of me she will stop on street corners and wait until I catch up.

When I am really close she just stares intently and you can see the desire and love in her eyes and she beams this smile as if she has just encountered an angel.

I dismissed it at first, but last time I saw her she was hiding in bushes waiting for me.

Have now drastically altered my dog walking time. Usually take the dog out around 11 and then 6-7ish in the evening, but am now going at 4.30-5am and then after 9 at night.

Saw a programme on TV recently and stalking is a lot more prevalent than you would imagine.

And like I say, I just have one of those faces.

Two. First one was a girl I went out with for a couple of years and to be fair to her she just took the break up really bad so I don’t hold a grudge against her in anyway. She kept turning up everywhere for a couple of months. I’d come out of work and there she was, usually crying and begging to get back together, she started frequenting places I’d socialise under the guise that she was on a girls night out even though she hated the places, music etc and the night would end in tears with her begging me to get back together. It was difficult because I did care for her, just didn’t see a future together.

The second was scary. It was a girl who was a friend of a friend of a friend sort of thing. Anyway the warning signs were there right from the off. She somehow got hold of my phone number and rang me to ask me out on a date. I still don’t know to this day how she got it. I was lodging in a house in Coventry at the time so the phone wasn’t even in my name and everyone I know swear they never gave her my number and she never asked. She was a very good looking girl and I was flattered so I said yes and we went out on a date. Straight away I wasn’t feeling it but she asked for a second date and at the time it seemed easier to say yes. I cut the second date short explained that I wasn’t feeling it which on the surface she seemed to take well, then the stalking started. Phone calls, turning up at my home (should explain that she was from my home town of rugby and I was living in Coventry) don’t know how she found out where I was living because I picked her up both dates, turning up at my work, turning at my mums house introducing herself as my girlfriend, sometimes I’d be visiting my mum sometimes I wouldn’t be there at all and I have no idea how she found all this information out about me she could only have been following me. She was always pleasant, calm and smiling on the surface but you could always tell something else was going on behind the eyes. 6 months this went on to varying intensity, just when you thought she’d stopped she’d turn up out of the blue and it would start again. Anyway I was sat in the pub one Friday night with a group of mates when in she walked with this guy in tow, I thought what now. She very sternly introduced this guy as her new boyfriend, gave me a filthy look, about turned and left dragging this guy behind her. Me and my mates all sat in silence for a short while, I’m sat there stunned when I glance around the table to notice all my mates staring at me and then we all just start pissing ourselves hysterically (them obviously knowing the whole story). Never heard from her again after that. To say that she was a fruit loop would be an understatement and I don’t mind admitting that 25 years later if I spy her I’ll still duck into a shop, sink into my car seat so she won’t see me if she’s walking along the road and I’m driving in the opposite direction etc.

It just unhinges you slightly doesn't it and puts you off kilter.

You start getting a bit paranoid about it and start getting on edge.

Completely. Not so much the first time as I had sympathy for the stalkee in that scenario although the unexpected meetings were always uncomfortable. The second was bad though. I used to dread leaving work knowing that there was a good chance she would be waiting, getting ready for a night out in Rugby and I would start stressing that she would be out looking for me around town, everytime the phone rang, I literally made my flat mate answer the phone if he was in for six months and if he was out I wouldn’t answer it unless I was expecting a call.

Can we download your music Otis?
Are you still receiving royalties whilst "sitting on the dock of a bay" "stand (ing) by me" whilst "try (ing) a little tenderness" with "my girl"

Quite scary though, maybe a man 3 times her age speaking to her in a park has thought that she was the one being stalked and she was hiding in the bush to get away from her stalker. Do you need to check that mirror!!!

And that concludes the evidence for the defence in the case of 'OTIS v Operation Yewtree'

It's 5, you just haven't caught me noticing you yet.

Just the one........there was this girl who kept turning up at my local on a Tuesday night and giving me the eye, I was 20 and she was 16. I was seeing another girl at the time and doing a lot of stuff with mates like watching winning teams at Wembley.....this was 1987 at the time.
In 1991, me and said girl got together and have been happy ever since, 3 kids, 27 years { married for 24 and still best mates } it turned out quite well !
