Problem the trust has, and don't get me wrong, I know it's frustrating because its frustrating for me and a lot of others too, if we (the trust) start a debate about forming a new club in whatever guise, and also call for Coventry to return to Coventry we will be accused of sending out mixed messages. Do we want cov in cov or a new cov etc.
Happy to wait but let's not miss the bus with this. It needs to (and probably will) happen this season with or without the trust as there are enough people behind it. The trust board are in a tough position on this, I understand that, but the trust is about all its members not just the board and strategy moving forward should be decided by all members not just the few.
Isn't coventry united meant to be the new club
Absolutely Mark, and the day it changes from that is the day I resign!
But as a board, tin hat on, we do get told things in confidence etc and have to make a choice when to use/ release the information we have for what we believe is the best interest of the fans.
Lets be clear on this, the trust members will ultimately make the decision of the trusts direction.
I believe that the majority of fans are not ready for a Phoenix club yet because we haven't lost the war to bring cov back to cov yet.
If a new club was formed just as a bargaining tool for a bit of posturing then that would be unfair to those who would be working to make it a reality.
(Be it the trust or another party)
If there is a reborn Coventry City AFC(My preferred name) there is nothing wrong with CCFC integrating(Under different owners) in the future. The City of Coventry deserve a football team that plays within the boundaries of the City of Coventry, and NOT outside. Surely, this is within the bounds of possibility?
By e mails I receive. Forums like this etc. how successful the ribbons campaign and the march went. (I didn't say it was fact, just my belief) don't get me wrong, there is a ground swell of fans wanting this debated and as a trust we shouldn't ignore this. If any trust members are reading this and feel it should be on our agenda come to the next open meeting or e mail the trust and ask for a debate on it, it's your trust just as much as mine! How do you gauge if fans are ready?

Sleep on itI'll maybe email tonight. Supposed to be sleeping as on night shift.
It's a NONE STARTER! Once a Sky Blue, ALWAYS A Sky Blue!
PUSB!

A reborn CCFC has to be on the agenda.
More to the point what person would be mad enough to invest in a football club that would be disbanded if another football club decided to return to Coventry.
What person would support a club that could be disbanded at any time.
What sort of league would allow a team to play in it that might disband at any time.
Starting a Phoenix club is all or nothing. That's why it has to be done without making snap decisions
What sort of league would allow a team to play in it that might disband at any time.
