Opposition teams must be pissing themselves now. Just sit back for 45 minutes and then come at us from the off in the 2nd half.
How many games is it? I can think of:
Fleetwood
Burton
Shrewsbury
Rochdale
Blackpool x 2
Accrington (we drew in the end)
It is far too easy for the opposition to do that. They come out in the 2nd half like completely different teams.
Everything is pre determined. Subs seem to be as well. Our second half performance was a perfect example of how we should play had we been comfortably in front. Passing the ball, keeping possession but without actually doing anything with it.
I'm getting fed up now.

Not reactive to what's going on in the game.
I agree that MR's approach is far too formulaic and predictable. His recent adherence to a 4-2-3-1 starting lineup is an example of this. Surely he must be aware that we just do not have a striker capable of playing upfront on his own - everyone else is!
I don't think we come out weak and negative, I just think we come out ill prepared for an opposition just having been given a roasting at half time. What the hell does MR say to the lads at HT to make them come out so negative and weak for the second half.
Well the truth is we are playing like Premiership players are expected to-did you not see all the conversations over the bar yesterday?I don't think there is a single fan who thinks we should be playing like premiership players, but showing some passion, desire, won't go a miss.
I posted this on another thread but relevant on this too....
Is the blame with MR or the players for the lack of commitment or energy in the early stages of the second half.
For me I think the situation is all in the players hands. You can build the belief and gee up the players at half time giving instructions and pointers to them but as soon as they amble back out and cross the line it’s all in the players hands to be switched on and do the jobs required, we always seem first out so maybe we should be the last however will that help I doubt it.
We’ve recently started a 15 second mini running drill to raise players tempo but don’t recall it yesterday.
I’m sure MR is just as frustrated with the issue too but it needs addressing.

For what it's worth they did do the little sprinting drill as did Blackpool. Albeit a different one to what we did at Scunthorpe
I’d suggest... lads we have had all the possession and are the better team , let’s have the same again but try and get a goal & whatever you do let’s not have all this possession come back to haunt usWhat the hell does MR say to the lads at HT to make them come out so negative and weak for the second half.
I said on Saturday at half time that Blackpool would have been absolutely delighted to have gone in 0-0 after being hammered for 45 mins.I've said it for a while, when you are all over a team for the first 45 and don't score it has a massive psychologically negative affect on your own team, particularly the defence, and a positive one on the opposition.
When you're doing it regularly then the negative affect on your own team increases. Though that theory doesn't explain the capitulation at Plymouth!
It was actually their first shot of the game. Their second went in as well.I said on Saturday at half time that Blackpool would have been absolutely delighted to have gone in 0-0 after being hammered for 45 mins.
They then scored from the very first shot in the second half.
Stubborn or just plain thick? It is becoming problematic.
He had the system last year and due to injuries changed it to two up front - that worked and we got promoted.
He tried to go back to 4-2-3-1 at the start of this season and it didn't work again. We were again largely forced to a more 2 up top formation due to injuries again and once again improved.
Now he's going back to 4-2-3-1 again and we're not getting results.
It's like he's determined to prove that tactic works and he's right despite the fact the evidence suggests we get much better results with two strikers.
Stubborn or just plane thick?
Yeah. I was very much 'shall I' 'shan't I?'Does make me chuckle 'plane thick' ?!?!
Own goal.Stubborn or just plane thick?
