Was there today. Any thoughts?
I could also see Stan Staunton, not particularly inspired by either of these men

I mentioned on another thread. Cotterill said some pretty harsh things about us when we gave the job he applied for to Boothroyd. If I remember rightly, there was a squabble between him and Ranson about whether he turned us down or whether we opted not to go for him. I don't think he'd apply after all that.

According to Linnell on CWR, Staunton was doing a scouting job for Sunderland. He will probably be at Stevenage Borough's next game too then...

It would an insipid and uninspiring choice.

I hated the idea at first but i'm starting to warm to the idea of Blackwell. Don't think he'd be afraid to change things around during a game, would get into the players if not performing too.

Today was very poor, so short on confidence and ideas. Some of the decision making during play was very poor and we don't move forward with any urgency. Somehow the new man needs to install a winning mentality and some confidence and quick. As soon as a player messed up today, they were looking around with a lost look on their faces, almost desperation as if there is someone else to blame.

I genuinely think the new manaher needs to do something really drastic in the first game to shake the squad up and get them thinking. I'd like to see him change the whole starting 11. That will give those in the team a shock and make them realise they may not be first choice and also give those on the fringe a chance to shine. We might lose the first game but it needs something to really change the squad mentality.

Cotterill took a forest team with a squad full of class players who should have challenged for promotion to the brink of relegation, no thanks

I thought Cotterill moved Forrest away from relegation after the shambles that is Steve McClaren had turned them from promotion chasing to relegation fighting.

From what I remember McClaren had them in the bottom 3 but he was sacked early on. Cotterill was appointed around November I think and he only started to put some results together around February time

I hate Cotterill, but he's clearly a total c**t. That might well be just what we need.

Also, I have read a lot of criticism of Ince from people who obviously don't even know about the miracle he pulled of at Macclesfield: they always say he only did it at MK Dons. Very wrong. Not saying he is the answer, but if he gets the job, he could well prove people wrong based on his achievement there..

Bloody hell, so many potentials in the crowd, once the appointment is made its gonna knock 50 off the gate straight away.

If we could get them to start singing it could really add to the atmos.

Most of us do know about Ince and Macclesfield and he's been living off the back of that since. It was his first job in football management. He did brilliantly but it has been very much downhill since then.

Almost akin to a honeymoon period. I think he would be a terrible appointment. At Notts County he lost 9 games on the trot and then promptly left by mutual consent.

Definitely not what we want here. 9 on the trot? Compare that to the likes of Paul Tisdale whose team went 125 games without back to back defeats.
