Couldn't PH4 do that too? Or any other owner or would it just be SISU?

If SISUE had the freehold they could mortgage it up to the hilt. That way they could get their money back. Can't think of anything else though.

Certainly agree the way SISU managed the club is vastly responsible. Employing idiots like Ken Delieu, Leon Brody, Inge Ongwe to name but a few, is beyond a joke. The manager roundabouts as well, aren't we still paying Coleman and some others? Coleman is a culprit, with the players & money he had, the performances & league finishes were a disgrace.

That's the most common sense I think I have seen in six months on this forum well done chap!

Fantastic point Torchy! We don't know that any other owner that could come would be better for the Club or it's supporters, we just assume that will be because everyone relates to Sisu as the worst.

Why is a fantastic point?. For crying out loud, just because some people say it doesn't make it so does it. Why do some people try and make out that PH4 would have been as bad as Sisu when talking about the Ricoh and someone buying it. Do you know that for sure, the way I look at it is that maybe PH4 might have been a little better at trying to purchase the Ricoh, giving the football club access to these revenues that everyone talks about and just maybe, if PH4 had bought us and 50% of the Ricoh we wouldn't be playing in Northampton, we wouldn't be hamstrung by FFP, we wouldn't be talking about buying a piece of land outside Coventry for Legoland to be built. MAYBE WE WOULD BE TALKING ABOUT HOW WE ARE ALL ENJOYING THE CHANCE TO WATCH SOME GOOD FOOTBALL AT HOME, IN COVENTRY, AT THE RICOH. (sorry for the capitols)

I understand your point Gent, but you have to look at this objectively and you're to a degree very right with your comment above, but we don't know what PH4 would of been like as an owner of the Club, he may well of been better, but there is a chance with the same probability that he could of been worse. I have faith that PH4 may have been a good owner but Joe Elliott's last choice of owners wasn't magnificent was it?

So what is to stop them from being hoodwinked by others?

You're absolutely right Nick. However my glass is generally half full. Also, If PH4 had bought us and 50% of the Ricoh, would we be playing in Northampton to crap crowds and talking about building a Stadium outside of Coventry ?

Yes anybody who buys the Ricoh could do that, is it likely-who knows?

What I'd ideally like is for someone with money to spare buying CCFC (Otium etc.) and ACL negotiating a longer lease into the equation. Then the profits from ACL can go into our club and we wouldn't be reliant on whoever buys us to prop up the team/club financially.

I realise this is a pipe dream at the moment but there's always hope.

You're right, it doesn't make it so and that was my point. SISU won't necessarily mortgage the Ricoh to the hilt and PH4 won't necessarily do it either. But obviously there's no proof that one or the other or both won't.

It might be interesting to read what the Glazers have done to MUFC too. Mortgages and bonds aplenty.

What do you mean ? Sisu don't want the Ricoh. Aren't they building a new stadium somewhere else ? PH4 made no bones about the fact he wanted the Ricoh. That alone would see us playing at HOME again. The fact that Sisu have blagged and bullshitted their way through this whole sorry saga proves to me that they do not have good intentions with regard to CCFC or the Ricoh. I may be wrong about them, but upto now, they have done nothing to suggest that they will prove me wrong.

You know that I have agreed with you each time you have asked the same question. My question is would everyone else have taken us to Northampton and refused rent free to bring us back? Would anyone else do what they have to get the Ricoh?

As far as I'm aware there has nothing stopping PH4 from buying the Ricoh.

Though as the council have said that they haven't done a valuation on the site, how much he would have to pay for it would have to be down to valuations on here.

Anything from £6miilion to £120 million should cover it.

You're absolutely right. However, if you were in his shoes would you not wait to see the outcome of all the shite that is going on with the Ricoh, the club, the JR, the new stadium and Sisu/Otium's intentions?

Apparently the Arena is nicely profitable without the club, so nothing to stop him just having the stadium as a stand-alone for now I'd have thought.
